Obviously the location is not ideal but you go there knowing that it is a 10 minute walk up a steep climb from Sarlat centre. The views are lovely though.

The rooms were clean and beds are comfortable. Ample free parking which would be difficult to obtain in the centre, Swimming pool was lovely to relax at each evening. Staff were exceptionally helpful and guided us to the highlights of the region.

Exceptional welcome from Christine. Very friendly, and so knowledgeable about the area , and tips to avoid the traffic during the festival weekend. She went out of her way to make us comfortable as due to the freak weather storm there was no air con working in the room we had booked. She provided a mobile air con unit and then we were able to upgrade to a room on a floor with fully working aircon the next morning. She provided us with great recommendations for restaurants - all of which were excellent. Pool and pool area were spotless, towels were provided. Breakfast was homemade plentiful and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for Christine and we would return without hesitation. Thank you so much!

Set high above Sarlat, this is a quiet, secluded hotel with an excellent pool. The rooms are clean and functional with useful mini-fridge, air-con and a very comfortable bed.

The house is a short walk (10 mins) from the centre of Sarlat, but it is up a very steep hill - there is a shaded short cut - be sure to ask if you are on foot! The town centre got very busy at times so it was great to be able to escape to the tranquility of the hotel.

Lovely property just outside Sarlat. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was amazing, as was breakfast which we enjoyed on the terrace. Christine and Cecilia were extremely friendly and helpful - thank you for the lift to the station, Christine!

The uphill walk back up to the hotel! But honestly it was great to be able to leave our campervan there securely & forget about it & worrying about parking.

Madame Christine and her staff are fantastic. I enjoyed my stay very much. The location is out of the fray of central Sarlat. I also enjoyed the pool with perfect temperature and super clean. I will return when I have the chance.

The walk down to the town was quite steep which meant we would have to drive down for dinner. Plenty of parking though so no big deal. Should have at least one English speaking channel on TV such as CNN.

Comfortable room. Christine was a great help advising sights to see. Breakfast was nicely done highlighting local cheese and meats.

Be aware that the walk back from town is very steep. It only took about 10/15 minutes. The hotel is excellent. Don't be put off if you have a good level of fitness and mobility!

We thoroughly enjoyed 3 nights at this hotel. Our stay was enhanced by the owner's local knowledge and recommendations. We were comfortable and the hotel is spotless. Good breakfast and great coffee! It was very useful to have a dedicated car park too. We walked into Sarlat every evening for drinks and dinner.

In Sarlat the taxis do not pick you up from the station to take you to your hotel. They will not take you to the Sarlat railway station from your hotel in Sarlat either. They don't make enough from these short trips, so they don't help you. There is no lift at the hotel, so luggage must be carried to your room

Christine is a very good hostess. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent breakfasts prepared carefully with local ingredients. Rooms spacious and clean. The pool was in a good location and very clean. This is an outstanding small hotel. I recommend it without reservation.
