Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceThe room was a little too small for a couple with a child. The toilet cover wouldn’t stay up and that was annoying when using it. The sink wasn’t draining when we got there but the manager fixed that once we asked her.
The hotel was in great location, and the common areas were very well maintained. The garden was beautiful and we had such nice and it was so pleasant to wake up and grab a coffee in our balcony that had beautiful views of the garden and the Pyrenean mountains. The swimming pool was nice and our daughter enjoyed that fully. We loved taking our breakfast on the terrace. The staff was really nice and the manager was so efficient and ready to help. The hotel restaurant was very good.

BelgiumThe elevator is rather small :)
The swimming pool with free towel service was appreciated. In July and August it can be hot in Lourdes but the climatization was working well and noiseless. he car can be put safely in the secured parking area.

United StatesThe shelf under the sink holding the towels was not secure, and ended up breaking off when we placed our toiletries bag on it. We informed Front Desk immediately in the morning (it had happened around 23:00 as we were getting ready for bed), but no one had come to repair it throughout the rest of our stay.
We liked the ease of check-in/out.

Hong KongA little bit far from the sanctuary. Around 20mins if you walk leisurely. Room decor a bit dated but fine by me.
Friendly staff. Great restaurant. Free parking. Small room but clean. A small outdoor swimming pool to cool off in the summer. Close to train station

United KingdomWe upgraded to a larger room which was very nice and had a sofa to sit on. The original room (Superior Twin or Double Room) was quite small with no comfortable seating. The reception staff were very helpful.

NetherlandsAs mentioned earlier, the rooms could definitely benefit from some redecoration. Another small improvement would be upgrading the instant coffee provided. There are plenty of good-quality options available these days, and offering guests a better cup of coffee would be a simple but much-appreciated touch.
The room was clean and comfortable, though the furnishings and decor felt quite dated. Still, the beds were cozy, and the room was fully air-conditioned, which made for a pleasant stay. The bathroom setup is split (common in the U.S.) with a separate toilet and washing area. Both were surprisingly spacious by European standards. If your room is on the mountain side, you're in for a great view. Unfortunately, ours overlooked the train station, which isn't exactly scenic. That said, the hotel has a shared mountain-facing balcony accessible to all guests, a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink. =) Breakfast offered plenty of variety, including an impressive selection of sweets like tarts and pies, something you don’t often see at breakfast buffets. Good coffee too! It’s about a 20-minute walk to the holy site of Lourdes, which could be important information for many visitors. Last but not least, the hotel also has a small private parking lot, which is a real bonus in this town.

United StatesThe breakfast felt pricey for what one received- there was a lovely barista style coffee machine behind the bar that I saw staff use- to serve non buffet customers a cup of coffee- but we were relegated to the machine located with the buffet that made a poor cup of coffee. Witnessing that option made me feel like the “second class passenger”… The room had some sort of motion sensor night light bar on the floor that kept going off with no movement detected. A similar motion detection light feature was in the bathroom. I understand the need for safety- but the bathroom light was more of a flood light- filling our room with light. Neither of these were attractive features to what overall felt like an elegant hotel. Check in staff could improve on her “make the guests feel welcome” skills. While I wouldn’t say she was rude she was also not welcoming. Check out staff was very pleasant.
The location and parking were our primary criteria for selecting this place to stay. In that regard, our expectations were met. Very convenient to visiting Lourdes and serving as a place to explore the area. Parking was plentiful and easily accessible. Was impressed with the stylish decor, and outside seating areas. Didn’t visit their restaurant so can’t comment on that.

MalaysiaNothing that I could think of !
We had a short 2 night stay in Lourdes and picked this Best Western hotel and could not be happier with our choice. Very nice hotel, great location and most impressive was the staff & the service. We were there for New Years Eve and New Years Day, the staff we were working over the holidays, during a busy period but they were just AMAZING, full smile on their face each time and working with so much passion! From the check in experience, to service at breakfast & dinner, to attending to all the needs we had - really caring for us and our plans and going the extra mile to make things happen for us even when they didn't need to. Special thanks for Claudia, Jolande & Tess - YOU WERE AWESOME and I recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. I mean, it's a small town, you know what you can expect from smaller hotels like this but when the service stands out and you have amazing people taking care of you, that is what makes a difference to your holiday ! The rooms and bathroom are also recently renovated so it has a nice new feeling while keeping it's charm !
