Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRoom and bathroom were on the small side, but that's ok as it's only a place to sleep.
The hotel was in an excellent location next to all the restaurants. The bed was very comfy, pillows were good, and a cute charming boutique hotel.

United KingdomGreat location in Montmartre, easy to get to via several metro stations. Warm welcome by staff, accommodating and friendly. Rooms are amazing, one of ours had a balcony and the other a view of Eiffel Tower. Lovely, clean and quirky. Nice touches like water in glass bottles, meaningful posters and pictures, design on headboards plus quaint furniture. Also, fantastic array of bars and restaurants on your doorstep to try out. Brush up on your Marcel Ayme to truly appreciate the ambience of the hotel!

AustraliaOnly mentioning so one might choose to upgrade. My room was a little smaller than I expected, needing to kind of side shuffle to the other side of the bed to have somewhere to put luggage. The shower head couldn't hold itself up. Putting it higher made it okay.
The location was perfect, the staff were professional and really lovely, everything was very clean and the bed really comfortable (not hard). I would stay here again. I also loved the glass bottle of water refilled each day to reduce plastic, and a nice quality soap and shampoo!

United KingdomBreakfast was overpriced and poor quality, I felt bad for the woman running it because I can't imagine anyone was going back. You can get a better, cheaper breakfast from le pain quotidien literally down the road or choose from many independent places offering breakfast or brunch nearby. Could really do with some hooks in the room for coats, hats, towels etc.
Bed very comfortable. Staff pleasant. Location very good, close to many restaurants and bars in Montmatre but surprisingly quiet.

United KingdomThere is nothing that my family and I didn’t like about the hotel.
All members of staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient, and the breakfast choices were excellent and plentiful. The hotel is very comfortable, is conveniently situated and within easy reach of many shops and restaurants as well as being within walking distance of two metro stations.

United KingdomThe breakfast could have been better. I had 2 children and there wasn't much choice for them. Also, when arriving to breakfast past 8:30am there was less food and juice available, which wasn't topped up.
The hotel was clean and a great size. The French doors overlooking the street below was lovely. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

United KingdomThe only downside was the shower. It was in a loft style room so had a sloped ceiling. It looks great but the practicality of it wasn't so good. Anyone much taller than me (5'7") would have had an issue fitting in it at all. Also there was no shower curtain so the floor got soaked, although the bath mat was changed daily which helped.
Booked early for me and my daughter and had a room with a balcony on the top floor. Room was small but clean and had everything we needed. Location was perfect for Montmartre evenings watching the sunset from the Sacre Coeur and for proximity to Metro stations to get around town. Plenty of bars and restaurants and a couple of convenience stores nearby, but not too noisy at night. Our room had a view of the Eiffel Tower which was particularly spectacular at night. The staff were all lovely and spoke better English than my French, which I was very grateful for. We both loved it. I would definitely stay here again.

United KingdomLiked everything!
Beautiful little hotel in chic and lively Monmatre. We stayed in the twin attic room with a little balcony, Sacre Coure peeking out over the rooftops. It was a lovely light room, small as expected for the age of the property but perfectly formed,.very quiet with blackout curtains. Espresso machine, great shower, very clean, beds where so comfortable and staff where lovely, even organising early check in for me and my daughter. Area felt very safe, lovely shops and restaurants nearby and only a 5min walk from several Metro stops. Would absolutely reccomend!
