Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicI honestly do not recommend the hotel restaurant. The dinner disappointed me. I recommend going to Paimpol for dinner.
The beakfast was very good. The place is very nice. I can certainly recommend a visit Ile de Brehat and Phare de Men Ruz.

FranceStaff is lovely the location is fabulous but rooms are very old fashioned, we got oysters at restaurant for dinner no ice under oysters, the oysters still had the shells on and quality of the food wasn’t too good. Very friendly staff though.

AustraliaWe thought that the spa area outside with the tables, chairs and sun lounge could have been better presented. The tables wiped down and chairs brushed down could have helped. Even the pot plants and garden area were poorly maintained. But none of this should distract from staying there.
The location of this hotel is ideal for those wanting to visit the Isle de Brehat. It literally is at the ferry terminal including the ticket office. We had a sea view facing the ferry terminal. The view from our room was really beautiful. The room was comfortable and provided a fridge. Parking is available at cost. The breakfast catered for most tastes. No gluten free on show. However, when I asked they provided for me. The staff in the restaurant had little or no English. This made it difficult ordering our evening meal. However, the reception staff did speak English and were helpful and friendly. We were very happy with our stay and all our interactions with the hotel employees. I would recommend the hotel.

FranceThe breakfast was empty. The pasty was burnt, the cold cuts were only salmon or two kinds of ham and no vegetables ther were some fruits but couldn't tell if it was for for the decorationsor to eat. For the bedroom. The rooms are very poorly isolated. You could hear the neighbors. In the morning, you could hear the people waiting in line for the ferry (windows closed), the curtains were way to small for the windows.
The hotel in general the hotel was good, a stuf was very friendly and active. A nice view but sadly I can't say it amazing

United KingdomThere was nothing that would put us off staying there again. We really enjoyed it.
Fabulous location, helpful staff, comfortable room and bathroom. Our only problem was a limited menu in the restaurant but perhaps they're not used to guests staying a week.

United KingdomRoom opened up to an outside walkway and was a little cramped, but it had everything we needed, bed was really comfortable. Strange thing - the little fridge is unplugged when you arrive and they expect guests to call reception to plug it in. It was evident that everybody just yanks the thing out and does it themselves.
Location was superb, and staff went out of their way to help. The quality of food in the restaurant in particular was outstanding. There are storage facilities for guests' bikes.

FranceThe hotel would need a more dynamic management and modernization and should better exploit its great potential. It’s such a pity that the restaurant is not as good as the beauty of the seaside you can admire from the terrace while eating.

We LOVED this hotel. We spent 2 weeks travelling around and we found this hotel as a random stop. The location was just amazing, view amazing, staff amazing and so friendly and welcoming. This was a treat that offered a relaxing swim and spa. A really well looked after hotel. The best nights sleep listening to the sea, we had a sea view room!! Our son had his own room above us, they gave him his own gown and had his own onsuite. Food was lovely! We stayed for dinner as there isn't another restaurant in the vicinity/area without a drive. Service was attentive and given with a smile. I'm still learning French and their patience was appreciated. Breakfast had a vast array of continental foods and was delicious. I highly recommend a stay here! The next time we stay we will visit Ils de Brehat too.
