Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe small requests were missed. Extra bed not made up, interconnecting door was locked with a key. Both rectified efficiently. Breakfast felt unorganised. No clean tables, lacked acknowledgement from team members.
The staff were great, particularly the receptionist on our arrival.

United KingdomI don't really see the point in charging to use the underground car park. It was empty and advertising this as a free guest resource would actually attract guests.
We all loved the room. Although out of town, the hotel is well served with public transport connections. The breakfast was superb and really did set us up for the day. A very peaceful relaxing stay.

United KingdomOur air conditioning was unfortunately set to 25 degrees and no matter how many times we adjusted it to 21 during a heat wave the temp would revert to 25. We addressed this with reception but the issues were not resolved during our stay. We complained upon leaving and management refunded us accordingly. The outcome was acceptable
The location was great for a one night layover. The standard of property was clean and well cared for. The staff friendly and spoke great English

FranceThe aircon is set to turn off after a few hours. Very annoying especially when it's 34C outside, especially at night when you need to get up to turn it on again!
This is a lovely hotel with a nice bar area and excellent restaurant. Rooms are a good size and both times I have stayed here I got a free upgrade and a complimentary apéritif. Friendly helpful staff. Very well placed (2 mins walk) for the Metro into Rennes which stops at the railway station and the historic centre.

AustraliaWe had a very comfortable spacious room. Best hotel we stayed in during our travels through Normandy. Great value for money. Our daughter booked a family room (adjoining rooms, 1 for her and her husband and the adjoining room for the 2 children). They couldn't believe how spacious it was, particularly after their previous night at the Novotel Bayeax which was extremely cramped.

United KingdomIt’s on the edge of a bit of an unloved business park but we knew that. It meant that it’s really accessible from the ring road so great if you’re on the move elsewhere.
Lovely clean modern rooms. We had two classic rooms connected and it worked perfectly. Really handy €10 parking underneath the hotel and a metro station 100 yards up the road so just 15 mins or so into central Rennes. Staff were lovely and breakfast was a really good choice of buffet items.

United KingdomWe loved everything about this place - especially the people!
After a small disagreement with our sat nav which told us to take a right when we should have gone left! We arrived and parked easily in the under hotel car park and walked through into reception where we received a very warm welcome, details of our room and a voucher for a complimentary aperitif. The room was on the 6th floor (not to worry there are elevators!) it was very stylish, quiet with an en suite with beautiful honey based complimentary toiletries and a walk in shower. We had reserved a table in the restaurant so took our time to peruse the menu whilst enjoying our complimentary aperitifs. If you stay here you MUST sample this imaginative and extensive menu - we were blown away by the service and the food - having chosen the 3 course "Discovery Menu" we sat back and enjoyed a wonderful meal, hats off to Chef and his busy team. In the morning, having had the best nights sleep on our journey from Spain to the St Malo ferry, we had a fabulous breakfast. The choice was amazing and wait for it.... this hotel serves soft edible scramble eggs too! We would like to thank ALL the staff at this hotel for their friendly, cheerful and attentive service and of course, whoever is in charge of staff training IT WORKS. We will most certainly make a detour, if necessary, to stay here on our next trip, it's the best hotel we've sampled in years. Thanks to all of you. Cordialement Barry and Heather G'

JerseyThe breakfast is not as varied for a 4* star hotel, but overall good choices. On our first visit we had fridges in the rooms we booked (communicating 2 standard rooms), but when we returned days after, we were given the same type of rooms but on another floor and this time with no fridges inside. We told that to the reception and confirmed that these rooms have no fridges. We had to ask for ice cubes every evening, and the reception quickly gave us a bowl with ice.
What I did like most was that rooms were well soundproofed, as opposed to many hotels stating soundproofed rooms and you can hear the traffic/noises from outside. I could sleep without being waking up, helpful for light sleepers. The personnel was also very accomodating and helpful. They were welcoming and answering all our requests with a smile. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable.

United KingdomThe breakfast - Lack of it We arrived down at 9am to the scrapings of dried scrambled egg, 3 sausages, 3 pieces of bacon &,3 pieces of dry white sandwich bread … on asking for scrambled egg the girl rolled her eyes saying she would have to make it. We waited 10 minutes… same girl came in lifted the lid of the dried out scrapings & YES she stirred it all in together We left! As we checked out, we were not asked if we enjoyed our stay - which is normally customary … we did say about the breakfast but felt we were ignored
It was perfect. The staff in the bar/restaurant were attentive, polite & welcoming

United KingdomNothing negative at all - perfect in every way!
Ambre on Reception was a very personable young lady who went beyond the call of duty to provide useful advice to ensure our two night stay in Rennes was as enjoyable as possible. Advice on the Metro (including nearest station; Saint-Jacques, and providing tickets) and the best places to see during our short stay was invaluable. As it was Sunday the hotel restaurant was closed, so she advised us to go to Saint-Jacques cafe in the next block for dinner which was good advice, as all four of us in our party had a superb meal! The bedroom/bathroom was 1st Class, the bed was extremely comfortable and there was a good choice of quality produce for breakfast.

ItalyIf you have a car, you must use the hotel parking, which comes at a fee. No public parking around. Also, there are only a couple of restaurants around.
Conveniently located close to the highway but also a couple of minutes on foot from the metro station. No public parking around, but the hotel parking was very convenient. Clean and spacious room.

United KingdomThere is no restaurant or buffet breakfast on weekends. Room service was a choice of 2 dishes so we chose UberEats instead (note - they deliver to the front of the hotel, NOT to room).
The hotel was easy to find and in a convenient location for a stop on our trip. check in was easy and the room was comfortable. They welcomed our family with our dog without any problems. There was a nice path with surrounding grass for me to walk the dog. There was a lovely cafe next door that offered lovely breakfast and smoothies.
