Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMarie is a wonderful host, we only stayed one weekend but it was hard to leave. She made us feel at home the moment we arrived, seems like a friend we have known forever. It was so much fun cooking (another guest Francesco made us special italian pasta) and dining together by the pool. The view is absolutely stunning, everything is an invitation to relax. It is calm and quiet and Marie takes great care of her property, she puts a lot of effort into maintaining the place especially the gardens and the pool. Her house is a little gem and we can't wait to go back and just stay by the pool admiring the view. And also to hear her funny stories too !

SwedenNothing comes to mind. A note for other travelers, as expected when staying in a tranquil hillside place is that the surrounding paths to the town are quite steep when walking. We would recommend to arrive and depart by car if you arrive with heavy luggage. Without luggage it is definitely possible to walk up to town if you don't mind a bit of exercise.
Maries place is a hidden gem, located hillside with a magnificent view of the valley. The room was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay, and the breakfast was perfect. Marie herself is a great host and cared for us throughout our stay in the way we welt we were visiting a friend. We highly recommend to listen to her recommendations what to do and see in the area as she is absolutely spot on. Thank you Marie!

Our weekend at Marie's was paradise! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home, greeted with a cold glass of rosé and the most beautiful view over Grasse to the sea beyond, with the peaceful sound of cicades. Our room was spotless, spacious, calm and comfortable, we slept so well each night. Marie is an exceptional host, warm and friendly and speaks excellent English. We recommend using her driver for any journeys as the roads in Grasse can be narrow and windy - we were pleased we didn't drive, but 'Billy' looked after us well and was always punctual and gave us fair prices. We loved the generous breakfast spreads and fantastic coffee, we were visiting Grasse for a wedding and Marie even made us some delicious lunch before we left. She also made sure we had Provence rosé whenever we fancied - she offers above and beyond a b&b experience. This is a beautiful base to explore Grasse however we found it very difficult to leave the pool and Marie's hospitality! We hope to return one day as such wonderful memories were made here.

Marie is so kind and generous and creates a lovely atmosphere of calm and relaxation. We had delicious breakfasts whenever we wanted them, home made jams, loads of fresh fruit, eggs, excellent ham, cheese and pastries. The garden (where she also grows her own fruit, herbs and vegetables) is beautiful and the pool is sunny all day (but with shady spots too). We were so happy swimming and reading that we didn’t want to leave. We had the best time and would recommend this calm little paradise to anyone who will be as lovely to Marie as she has been to us. Thank you so much.

DenmarkThe stairs up to our room on the first floor were very narrow and steep. But Marie will soon have another staircase installed.
Our host Marie at this lovely bed & breakfast was absolutely exceptional. Super friendly, fun, and pleasant. And she could provide useful information about the area and told us interesting stories about her own life. We had her breakfast a couple of times and it was exceptionally good and very varied… soft-boiled eggs, many different kinds of cheese, different fruits, bread and pastries, yogurt, ham, sausages, home made orange juice, three different home made jams, etc. Super cozy and beautiful garden with a perfect swimming pool. The room was large and clean.

Marie’s place exceeded any and all expectations. She has truly created a beautiful home away from home for her guests. She is so welcoming and kind and I feel like I am walking away from her home with a new friend. The other guests on the property were also a pleasure and we always felt like there was enough space for all of us. The views are unbeatable. Would definitely recommend and will be back again :)

United StatesThis is a very nice B&B. The interiors were recently remodeled, the property is situated on a hillside with view on the hills and sea, just a few minutes away from Cannes. Marie, the host, is absolutely welcoming and friendly. I strongly recommend it.

GermanyMarie was a very personal and caring host. With her love to detail and design she is offering beautiful rooms, sharing the complex with only a few other guests. Her catering is wonderful, breakfast and dinners on the terrace overlooking the hilly countryside is just relaxing. Marie will read any wish you might have from your lips and will do anything in her powers to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Her stories will make you laugh more then once for sure!

United StatesThe property was gorgeous and inviting. I don’t have any complaints.
It was so special to be in this gorgeous, historic home. I felt like a guest in a magical place with personal touches all around. I was able to relax as though I were at home but with an awe-inspiring view of the flowers and trees that Grasse is known for, and on clear days I could see all the way to the ocean! The decor of the home was calming and inviting. When I learned that the owner, Marie, had a background in interior design it made perfect sense! Marie was the ultimate hostess. She greeted me with graciousness and refreshments upon my arrival, even though I had just booked my stay earlier that day. Marie went above and beyond any host experience I’ve ever had. She was able to make dinner arrangements for me at the fully booked Michelin star restaurant next door (La Bastide Saint-Antoine), and she even walked me there and met me for the walk home so I wouldn’t have to worry for a single moment about anything. Marie went out of her way to make me feel at ease. Each morning she made delicious coffee and served her homemade jams with our breakfast, adding to the personal touches that painted the whole week. There were several traffic issues with big events, and she looked into them for me each day and made personal sacrifices to get me to my appointments on time. When the roads were closed in Grasse for an event related to the Olympics, she walked me to my perfume class and stayed with me until I got inside. One of the grandest gestures she made, which I am so grateful for, is that she drove me to the Cannes train station when I left, knowing I would have a tough time getting a ride, due to a big annual festival happening in Cannes at the time. She even made arrangements for her friend to meet us and and take my giant suitcase, which wouldn’t fit in her car. She looked after my every need and made it one of the best travel experiences I can remember! Marie is an extraordinary hostess and is so generous to share her beautiful bastide! Merci, Marie!
