Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaShowers are very small! Pictures look much better than reality. No curb appeal. Property is very old and worn. Breakfast was basic. Location not easy for all people unfamiliar with getting to and from without a car.
It was an easy connection with the 9518 bus from the airport to the hotel and back. It’s about a 15 min walk from the metro/RER station. For an economical stay during the world rugby finals it was fine. Property manager was lovely and helpful Room was clean and comfortable. Nice to have shopping right across the street

United KingdomThe area was frequented by a lot of small gangs of males which made for an uneasy feeling. The fact that the gates to the hotel were closed quickly behind us really didnt give us that aire of confidence in the area.
Its availability due to having other booked accomodation cancelled on us last minute. The room was clean if not a little dated.

NetherlandsArrived at 00:30 today and its now 05:15 in the morning I sleep for 1 hour because of other people in another room are screwing and listen hard music since I arrived K I hear it in my room and I can't sleep from it. Its not normal for 65 euro!!! Very very bad dont go here!! This is not a hotel more like a club at the hotelroom. This is not normal. I wanted to go at 11:30 but put my wake up time to 09:15. Very bad experience here !!!!!

United KingdomDisgusting - brown stains on mattress, dark hairs, dirty, non-smoking room had an awful smell of smoke, gave both of us sore throats and weird heaviness in chest (even my friend who is an occasional social smoker had trouble with the smell). Booking.com couldn't be less helpful - told us we had to suck it up as they couldn't do anything for 24 hours so we booked elsewhere. Receptionist told us to contact booking.com regarding refund (booking.com told us it was hotel's responsibility to respond regarding to refund, so a lie?). As hotel was refusing to respond to booking.com requests (5 days now after promising an initial fix within 24 hours), they couldn't issue a refund and basically told me they couldn't do anything until hotel responded, gave no timeline, said they couldn't help. I asked what would happen if hotel just decided to never respond, they said they couldn't ever move forward? Told me to contact the hotel myself (even though legally it's booking.com's responsibility as I paid them, if they can't contact the hotel, why would I be able to? And have to pay out of pocket for international calls and it's not included in my plan unless I pay extra? No.) Booking offered me a 20/25 euro "goodwill" gesture. Awful. Fortunately Paypal are excellent and have given me a full refund already.
