This is a thermal city and hotels are oriented for this kind of tourists. In this context, actually, many people come also for bikes tours, for cycle tourism (Veloscenie, was our option) or weekend trip. Hotel central, adequate room, they take care for the bicycles. Welcoming reception.

The location was excellent - traffic does get a bit busy at certain times. Great access to bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Bed was comfy in the Comfort Double room which had a fab balcony overlooking the town centre fountain. Breakfast was basic but plentiful. Really lovely staff. Our friends needed shower gel which they replenished instantly. Very clean and cared for everywhere.

The room keys on reception are accessible by anyone!! We were given the wrong key at first....walked into an occupied room! Second attempt...room was ok....view across the roundabout. However....the next morning I put up the ""do Not clean my room "...sign.....only to come back and find that someone HAS been in our room! ( They hadn't cleaned so no idea why or who was in there!! I spoke to reception about it.....got nowhere! The restaurant was closed the first night....again all keys just sat on the reception counter....with no overnight staff on site Breakfast was very limited! Terrible selection...if you can call it a selection! Orange juice was off...it was brown. We had a meal in the restaurant the second night...and although it was nice enough...the size of the potion was very small. One member of staff in the restaurant was very friendly...the others...not. Really disappointed by the whole experience sadly.

Told bar didn’t open ‘till 18:00, returned to find it wouldn’t open ‘till 19:00. Staff milling about - didn’t want anything complicated, just a beer & a wine - it’s a hotel!!

The housekeeping needs tightening up. The layout of food in the breakfast room was awkward & sometimes lacking in quantity. For example there were no croissants one morning, no baguettes at all. They need to keep an eye on the food & replace empty dishes when necessary. With regards to the bedroom, we had to ask for replacement toilet roll, there were no hand towels & the cups were not washed up daily. The bed was not properly remade everyday. However the stay was pleasant.

Location was excellent. It was easy to store bikes, even though we put them in the breakfast room. Food in restaurant was good. We had a large comfortable room.

Breakfast not as good as we have had before in the same hotel. No French bread, tiny croissants, orange juice ran out, as did the ham and cheeses. Dinner however was excellent.

Very good breakfast, and good choice of evening meals at the hotel, other restaurants also in the town. Comfortable room facing the fountain and town. Car parking space. The standard rooms are good for short stays, for a longer stay it would be better to have the larger room. Being in the centre, it was a short walk to the lake which has gardens around it and boat hire. There are also longer hiking walks around the village in varying difficulties. Hire a 'velo cycle' and travel along a forested railway. If driving, there are some nice small towns also around - Domfront, La Ferte Mace, etc.

Very little to dislike. There should be an EV charging station in the car park The room decoration was a little dated but acceptable.

There was a bar area which appeared not to be used at all which was unfortunate the car park was small for the amount of guests so spaces were on a first come basis

The hotel was situated in a great part of the town overlooking the central fountain the restaurant was great

The terrace and the furniture were tired. Furniture had been left to the elements too often. The sun lounger was torn and unusable. The flower troughs had nothing but weeds.

All in all everything good.
