The apartment walls and the doors do not secure any privacy. You hear everything what is happening in front of your door or at the neighbors. Strange that the receptionist has asked 150€ deposit at the check-in and arranged a crosscheck walk over the rooms at check-out.

We have spent only one overnight in the middle of the summer here. The hills, the view is absolutely amazing, we can imagine even a longer stay here and having hiking in the hills. The town center is in a walk distance of 15-20minutes, and includes different shops, restaurants, everything you need during your holiday. The hotel and the room was nice, clean, small rooms, small kitchen, and well equipped. The view from the terrace/balcony is absolutely amazing and the air is super fresh.

Wifi was intermittent, TV was not linking to Internet so limited time french channels only. The hotel is quite far out, fortunately we hired a car, this was certainly needed.

Lack of an oven to cook meals. Lack of washing up liquid, wash up sponges, tea towels or dish washer tablets- things I wouldn’t bring on holiday and cannot buy in small enough quantities. Too far out to get to town easily and too few buses, especially in the evening to go out for an evening meal.

That it was 2 separate bedrooms and in normal snow conditions it would have been ski out and in. Quiet location, with beautiful views.

Would avoid half term time, needed to pre-book restaurants that were on ground level as they were all fully booked but its hard to plan what time you will be ready in location to eat.

Ski to door was really good for beginners. Accommodation was comfortable and clean with friendly staff.

The location isn't great for local amenities. I would say a car is essential as the shops, restaurants etc are 1.5km downhill - which is too far to carry heavy shopping and/or walk back from an evening meal with tired young children. There are busses, but they aren't very frequent, one never hour or so, and they finish at 19:00. We did walk down and back a couple of times, and it maybe wouldn't be an issue during summer if you could work your day around it, but after a full day of skiing it isn't great. The reception is open briefly in the morning and again in the evening, which isn't ideal if you are arriving during the day. The accommodation is basic and very small, I would say the space is more appropriate for 2-4 people than 6, which is the capacity. We are a family of 5 and found the space very restricting. There is a 56E cleaning fee unless you complete a list of cleaning before checking out, including finger prints on the bathroom mirror and shower screen, dusting the furniture, washing the floors and defrosting the fridge. Not really what we want to be doing on holiday, we don't necessarily have time when leaving early and we would have had to go and buy all the cleaning products. This alone wouldn't stop me from booking, but I would rather they just added it onto the initial booking, which was £2,227.00, than charge extra for something which should really be included when renting a property. The ski lockers don't appear to be heated, so to dry anything out, you will need to take it to your room. We had a noisy family above us, which made getting to sleep a challenge, but I think we were maybe just unlucky, most occupants probably wouldn't make as much noise.

The location is great for the slopes, only 10-20 meters up a small bank to join blue, L'Envers, which is a 5-10 minute ski down to two gondolas in La Clusaz. The scenery is beautiful and the location is nice and quiet. There's plenty of parking and lockers for your ski's etc.
