The apartment was beautiful and location was perfect! The apartment has been lovingly taken care of and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning kept us cool during the heat wave. I wish I knew more about the photographs on the wall, very well selected. Gorgeous ceiling medallions. The area was very quiet at night despite staying in the middle of the Avignon festival. I really enjoyed staying here.

We loved our time in Jerome’s apartment The view of the Palais des Papes was stunning . The apartment is well set up with everything needed for a short ( or long ) stay . We were able to walk to our favourite cafes and restaurants and the market is 5 mins away . We’d love to stay again .

We loved everything about the property, from walking in to see the view over the Popes Palace to the convenience of the location, close to the main street and especially to the fresh food ‘market hall’ and cafes around the square. Once you locate the apartment walking everywhere is easy. Local buses will take you to nearby Villeneuve-les-Avignon, and Saint-Remy-de-Provence. Avignon is a great destination.

There was absolutely nothing not to like.

This is a delightful apartment. Seemed to me the quintessential French apartment in a classic old building. Lots of windows, and you look out over the old city. Your views are lovely rooftops and the Palace of the Pope. We were so pleased. It was very spacious for 2 people. The bathroom is great, bed is comfortable. The kitchen is beautiful and new, and they updated the kitchen and bath such that the place retains its classic charm. Easy to walk everywhere to see the sights. The owner was in touch, available, and ready to be helpful. Jerome gave explicit, painstaking, detailed, and videotaped instructions on how to access the apartment. These old cities have winding and (to us Americans, anyway) confusing streets. GPS drove us in circles and down the wrong way a one-way street. (Yes, we do try not to drive inside the city center of old European cities, but found ourselves doing so.) Jerome was very willing to help. Jerome's instructions were perfect and easy to follow! We were only sorry we couldn't have stayed longer.

The location is perfect for accessing all of the tourist highlights, just a step away, wonderful walks, interesting shops and cafes that Avignon has to offer. The beautifully renovated , spacious apartment with the picture window view of Palais de Pape is exactly as on the photographs. The owner gave us very clear instructions to access the property and we knew that he was available if needed. We felt very much at home and sad to leave. Our best choice accomodation yet.

Apartment very recently renovated and well equipped, excellent position with a terrific view on the Palais des Papes. Everything on point. Very cozy and comfortable. Guest can find everything they need for a stay in Avignone. Self check-in and out easy and well explained by the host.

This was the only apartment that we have booked on booking.com that didn’t provide any toiletries at all. It is not a big deal but we were not prepared so were caught off guard. Many taxis would not go to the property but would only stop at the side road near the property.

The lock to get into the room has personality and takes some getting used to. I assume because it's an old building or old door hardware but plan to spend an extra 2-5 minutes upon arrival becoming familiar with how to get into the room.

Everything really. Perfectly located. Beautiful views. A well-equipped kitchen. The host was very easy to communicate with, responsive and helpful. Bravo.

Difficult to get into the building, but eventually got used to the tricky lock.

This is an elegant and spacious apartment that we felt lucky to stay in. Its was in the perfect location within the walled old town of Avignon. The furnishings and amenities were wonderful. Excellent bed, shower, heating/air conditioning, kitchen and kitchen supplies. And a washing machine. It even had an elevator so we didn’t have to drag our heavy cases up the stairs. Oh and to see the Palais des Papes from the living room window was pretty special. We miss it already.

For reasons we couldn't figure out, neither of our iPhones would connect to the wifi. We managed; the host did his best to solve the problem but it remained a mystery.

The host sent short videos showing how to retrieve the outer and inner keys. The elevator (!) was big enough for the two of us and bags. A little fumbling with the lockboxes and we were in -- to a bright apartment open to the beautiful light of the south and, yes, a view of the Papal Palace. We discovered there had been a miscommunication, and the second bed, a pull-out sofa, had no sheets. Within half an hour, the host made sure that what we needed was available. The gorgeous views -- rooftops, the Palace, the blue, blue sky and the light -- and the welcoming bottle of wine were a delight.

Absolutely amazing. This is a beautiful recently renovated apartment. It has lovely tall ceilings and huge windows with the most incredible views of the Palais des Papes. The location is superb. Right in the heart of the Old Town with immediate access to cafes, restaurants, and shops. The host has been excellent. They provided helpful instructions on how to access the property and were easy to contact. We would very highly recommend and we would happily visit again. CARS - We drove from Marseilles airport and would recommend you park at Les Halles, which is secure and is a 4-5 minute walk from the apartment. Please note that it is a car park designed for small European cars.

Trivial concerns: the beds were very firm, there are not many towels.

The location was perfect—in the heart of the old city, steps to the Palais des Papes. (The apartment is accessible by car, but only if you're comfortable driving in very narrow streets. It's about a 10min walk from the municipal bus stop.) The apartment is very spacious and airy. The air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was lovely, good shower. The kitchen was well set up. The laundry machine was helpful to have on a family trip.
