Our stay at Bruno's B&B was great. We were looking for a convenient and relaxing stop before catching the ferry from Calais to Dover, and this spot was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived Bruno was an incredibly accommodating host. He went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after. The B&B itself is in a perfect location, just a short drive from the Calais ferry port. It's an ideal base for anyone travelling to or from the UK. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

We booked 2 rooms since Booking com gave us 2 rooms for the family of 4, where my son was considered as adult. But there were 4 beds in the room, which we would prefer booking 1 room instead of 2.

Stayed there for 2 nights just to relax at the end of a road trip, before returning back to the UK via the tunnel. There is a nice lake area nearby that you can walk around, do kayak or ride water bike. The house has 4 bedrooms upstairs and a common kitchen downstairs. Landlords stay in the same building but have their own kitchen and living area. Rooms and kitchen were clean and comfortable. We used the kitchen for cooking for the dinner as well. We also used the hot tub and the sauna with additional cost which were nice. Landlords were responsive via booking com messages and helpful. Breakfast was nice.

We be had a fantastic overnight stay, everything was just right. The room was a great size, spotlessly clean, and felt like a real home from home. We were instantly comfortable and relaxed. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with plenty of choice and fresh options. Would definitely stay again, highly recommended!

Fabulous facilities and a great location for Calais ferry port. Lakes and country walks on the doorstep, and a short stroll to a selection of bars and restaurants. Breakfast was lovely, including fresh baguette and croissants delivered in the morning.

Au Portes des Lacs is a lovely place to stay. An excellent B&B well appointed, very comfortable and very peaceful. The room and the bathroom was very spacious. Bruno was very helpful and provided a simple but lovely breakfast.

A little bit tricky to find for dozy elderly folk like us, but helpful instructions were provided which saved the day.

Bruno was very friendly and helpful and spoke English. Good communication with Bruno before we arrived. The room was clean and comfortable. It was quite although it was on a main road. Breakfast was adequate with fresh bread. The location is ideal for the shuttle. All in all a lovely stay. Thank you Bruno

First class accommodation. Beautifully presented, good breakfast and friendly host. Ardres is a nice town within each reach of the ferry port.
