Everything was wonderful. The only caveat is that there are limited transport options from Sélestat station in the evenings if you are not arriving by hire car so check that out first. There were no buses or taxis from the station to the hotel after 9pm.

Breakfast was fantastic. Really nice choice and very good quality. We especially appreciated the crémant which was a lovely touch. The spa area was a wonderful bonus and had a beautiful view from the pool.

As said before, if you stay for more than 2 -3 days the breakfast could get boring. Not really linked to the property, but as we visited between Christmas and New Year, Saint Hippolyte was practically deserted, no restaurants opened or shops from where to buy some chips. The good thing was that diner was catered by the hotel, and it was a very good one.

Very clean, large rooms. We had deluxe rooms, and they were just like the pictures. Breakfast was very good, although not a lot of alternatives. The staff which was most welcoming even when we didn’t have a diner reservation.

The whole room was old, the bathroom was the worst, like a labyrinth, chipped toilet seat and the shower completely designed wrong, water was going out side the shower tray!

There is no hot water kettle or tea / coffee assortment in the room. The shower is a big nuisance…. Taking a shower floods the entire bathroom

The pool not being free for the hotel guests. Dinner set menu not able to get something small.

Great location. The family room was spacious and with lovely views of the castle. Really liked the decorations. Staff was really nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

The restaurant was always a focus of the hotel - a superb choice of food in a quiet and genial atmosphere. Here was our disappointment. There was no menu to choose from - there was just the dish of the day . . . lovely though the 4 courses were, it was just lucky we liked what was served. The restaurant was crowded- full to capacity on the days we were there. The serving times were limited. The result was a frantic effort by staff to serve the tables in good time. . . Not very relaxing! It appears that the hotel caters for guests in any another nearby hotel. A strange arrangement. Last point, ‘changing facilities’ at the pool need consideration.

We’ve stayed here before and returned because of the quality of the hotel. There have been changes and some improvements- the swimming pool and associated areas for one. The food was good and the waiting staff superb. Our room was quiet and cosy with a balcony. The newly renovated bathroom was a real bonus. The price and location met our needs once again.

Unpleasant smell of tobacco in room. We were offered another room, but it smelled just as bad. The first evening, the hotel's P-park was full, so we had to park in a nearby street. Probably a very low-crime area, but still ...

Beautiful location. Incredibly friendly staff. Going above and beyond for us. We booked late and arrived as dinner was ending, nevertheless Sabrine (hotel owner) made space for us in the very busy restaurant and provided my children with dishes that were not on the menu to satisfy their needs. He also gave us a complimentary glass of wine and it was fantastic. We were granted a full half hour of time in the swimming pool the next morning as Sabrine knew we had to leave early. He couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended this hotel and Sabrine and his staff. Truly wonderful place.

I woud have liked a room with a bath.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, surrounded by vineyards, with a superb view from the balcony. Welcoming and friendly staff made all guests feel special. The food in the restaurant is excellent.

The staff in the restaurant was not service minded at all. For example, we tried to order wine three times but did not get any.

Extra payment for the spa. There wasn't a fridge and coffee machine in the room. We didn't like coffee, which were served for breakfast.
