Air con would be nice as it was really hot. Minor complaint though, beautiful area. Bathroom door (sliding type) was a nightmare.

Quiet in spite of being on the main road. Good breakfast and very good dinner. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and be was comfortable.

Lighting needs to be triggered on always, on stairwell to top floor, in the dark brown steps especially.

The only complaint would be that there were no proper cups/glasses and the wifi didn't work.The 11euro breakfast was very basic. Take the basics as the restaurants and shops around are expensive.

The location was perfect,river facing(a bit noisy in the morning)The beds were comfy and warm,we had interconnecting rooms which were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was very basic and not attractive at all. The lighting was hard to find in the hallway and stairway. We used the bus timetable at the hotel to plan our trip to the next town when leaving. It turned out the bus didn’t run in October. Although the staff seemed to know this, they didn’t bother to tell us, rather watched us leave and sit at the nearby bus stop for an hour. When we returned with no transport they were again not at all helpful. The nearby boat trip vendors saved the day contacting a taxi for us.

Breakfast was good, but the quality of the dinner in the evening was below par. We wouldn't eat there again.

Good value. Comfortable. Fine for this time of year but could be less comfortable during summer when you might want to have the window open at night because it is right on the street.

Room too hot and airless despite no heating on and window open. Pillows lacking in body Breakfast was acceptable but a tad expensive for what was on offer

The room was spartan and the bathroom had nowhere to put your stuff. Could have done with extra pillows. We had dinner in the restaurant and like nearly everywhere in France the menu had steak, something with foie gras, beefburger or duck. There appeared to be one exception which was salmon which I had, came with rice and essentially a heap of lettuce. Not much imagination We both felt that the place had an almost cavalier take it or leave it attitude. Breakfast was the poorest we had on our travels

Fabulous location just across from the Dordogne. Good sized room and decent views. Carpark next door. Fantastic icecreams

The room itself although clean had a very bad paint job on one wall and another wall had patches of peeling paint and areas of replastering which hadn't been finished. A bit of loving care and the room would be perfect.

The view from the room was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The breakfast was great with orange juice, coffee, teapastries, yoghurt, bread, cheese and a selection of cooked meats.

The toilet and shower room are a bit old. People working at the restaurant were a bit rude.

The room was not clean everywhere : some spiderweb on the ceiling, the mirror in the room was disgusting and a few stains of blood were on one of the sheets.

The location is great! The parking lot is well appreciated! The Auberge des Platanes is right in the center of la Roque Gageac, beautiful village! The room is spacious and the beds are comfortable.

Narrow beds. Funny shower arrangement with no curtain nor anywhere to hang the nossle of the shower.

Very central. Nice and quiet. Rooms cleaned daily.

I hate those handheld showers and getting in the tub is hard for older people …. The ONLY bad thing !

The building needs some upgrades.

Staying here is like being welcomed into a family. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Also the location on the river and in the beautiful village is fabulous. The area has wonderful trails for walkers - hills, forest and river Bank.

Very friendly checkin lady who honestly said room was cheap but smelled a bit damp and I could change it if I wanted.....opened window and put on aircon briefly as advised and it was fine! Good for meals.....enjoyed hamburger

Bathrooms can be a bit cleaner.

Clean bedding and towels and beautiful location on the river.The private terrace was a bonus and the hotel serves affordable good local food.
