    Almost everything

Bedframe corners hard - my wife stubbed her toe quite badly - could do with a foam pad over the sharp edge

Breakfast is very good, and all you want .

Room was very small, and no fridge. No glass for drinking , just a cheap bottle water. Budget toilet and shower. only 1 small sink. Only 1 thick bed sheet, no thin ones. They mention there is a terrace, but it is very small and you are looking at a mountain of weeds. Parking is € 5 / night extra.

    Property response:

Hello, Thank you for highlighting the quality of our breakfast. Clearly, the all-you-can-eat buffet concept truly inspired you, so much so that your bags seemed fuller than your plates. Allow us to gently remind the forgetful among us that food is meant to be consumed on-site, not used to stock your picnic basket for the rest of the week. As for your critique of the Lodge Luxe room, 25m², air-conditioned, with a terrace, we must admit we are rather puzzled. If that feels "small" to you, we’re left wondering what you were expecting… A presidential suite? A Parisian loft? In a 3-star hotel, at this rate? It might be time to reconcile your expectations with reality, or your wallet with your fantasies. Regarding the lack of a refrigerator in the room: this isn’t the 90s. Responsible hotels no longer keep energy-consuming appliances running 24/7 just to chill two cans and a piece of cheese. That said, we’re happy to store your items at reception—provided you ask, of course, rather than complain behind a keyboard later on. As for the in-room drinks: we offer complimentary water, coffee, and tea. No, there was no VOSS or Chateldon waiting for you upon arrival, and that’s quite intentional. You seem to forget that you didn’t book the Ritz, but a 3-star hotel. Should we have offered a sommelier to help you choose your water? Given the room rate, your expectations seem a bit… disconnected. Now, the bathroom, which you described as "basic": we’re talking about a 12m² space, with an XXL walk-in shower, rainfall ceiling, green marble countertop, glass basin, smart mirror, and built-in LED-lit wardrobe. We’ve seen worse examples of "economy". Then again, maybe anything that doesn’t flash like Las Vegas fails to meet your definition of upscale. You found the sheets too thick? That’s what we call quality. We understand that may confuse fans of bargain-bin linens. The terrace? It’s 8m², with table, chairs, plants, and an open view. If you spotted "weeds", we suggest learning the difference between a living garden and plastic turf. The parking? Private, secure, and €5 per night. An outrageous amount, no doubt, but there’s also a large free parking area right in front of the hotel. You titled your review “Too Expensive”. Yet you received a discount, along with a small gesture from us (a chocolate bar) for your anniversary, which you apparently found insufficient. We also offered a bottle of blanc de blancs for €19, which you politely declined. Celebrating a wedding anniversary on a budget lower than a pizza? A bold choice, to say the least. Perhaps in the future, rather than expecting 5-star service with a discount-store mindset, it would be best to choose: either aim for luxury and pay the price, or stick to the standards, and respect them. Wishing the next hoteliers plenty of patience for your whims. No hard feelings, The Cocoon Inn Team

Excellent location in a beautiful village. The secure parking is great and the rooms are spacious. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating.

The bathroom needs a few minor repairs such as replacing the missing towel rail and the shower appears to be blocked as the water doesn’t drain away very well leaving a bit of a smell afterwards.

The staff (particularly Jean-Luc) were very friendly and helpful. They gave us excellent recommendations on restaurants and places to visit. The breakfast offering was excellent ! We had "cozy" rooms which were small as advertised but perfectly adequate and the bathroom and shower were also excellent. There is also an on site facility to charge an electric car.

The staff were lovely and the breakfast was exceptional, with plenty of choice laid out like a banquet!

Room was a bit small for us and the W.C. was too small for our long legs.

    Property response:

When you booked you know the characteristics of the room so why didn t you take a bigger room, 20 and 25 square meters. Only the price of 85€ motived you. All guests appreciate Cocoon inn for good value and give us very good grades. Sorry and sad for you

I could not fault this booking, from the time we arrived to when we checked out, the hospitality and attention to details was outstanding. My partner is 6ft 7in and we had a very comfortable stay! We will certainly be back.
