No air con, ceiling fan tricky to use and just too hot in the summer to really make a difference. Needs better shutters/curtains as morning light just comes straight in. Generally run down but has everything you need for a short stay.

Great location. Comfortable bed - although needs better pillows. Friendly host who has just taken over this hotel, acknowledged needs some work but getting stuck in.

Well, the bathroom fixtures could do with some modernising, but they were clean, and that's the most important thing.

It's old and a bit tired, very basic but very authentic. If you are a historically bent traveller wishing to have an idea of the experience of a traveller from the last millennium, you will surely enjoy it.

The location was great, and this was an adequate room for the price. The front desk staff were super friendly and accommodating and let us leave our bags a little extra long, so we could walk around and explore without carrying everything.

Unfortunately the hotel is in need of refreshing. It is very worn and the walls are very thin, sounds carry easily.

Price, location. This is a basic hotel. For the price it was fine for me as a solo traveller. Room was clean and big enough. OK for a one night stay.

So I got a room which was separated and had no direct neighbour, so can't comment how thin the walls are. The hotel is old yes, for some might be problem. Also, no elevator only stairs. No AC in the room, but had a fan. If you have no high standards, for a night I have no complaints at all - except some more deep cleaning would be needed. The windows and around needs some love (and some washing).

I actually enjoyed this hotel. It's simple, but it didn't brother me at all. The receptionist was a very nice guy, the room was pretty good too (lucky me I got an upgrade). Bed/pillows were okay, had the needed basic equipment, bathroom also ok. Location is superb.

Everything was fine. Perhaps due to the heat wave the ceiling fan needed more power. Thats all.

The foyer and the hotel reception present themselves well, but when you get to the room, it’s a different story. The wallpaper is peeling off in places there are gouges out of the wall and what appears to be large blocks of glue on one wall, The skirting boards and low-level parts of the room have not been cleaned and are dirty with grime and dust. The shutters on the window do not close properly and when you open the windows, you’re just met with more dirt. The ceiling fan is so noisy that you cannot run it at night and in such temperatures this is essential to use the fan to try and help you sleep. One of the electric sockets is cracked and appears unsafe. The bathroom leaves a lot to be desired with a cracked sink no toilet paper in the holder and no tissues in the dispenser. There was half a roll of toilet roll left for a four day stay. The shower curtain is absolutely disgusting. It is stained yellow at the bottom and has signs of a mould throughout. The toilet takes three flashes to dispose of matter and one of the towels had an unpleasant stain on it. I stayed here for four nights and my room was not serviced once and I was not provided with fresh towels neither was my bed made or the bins emptied. On the plus side, the bed was clean however that was the only thing that was!
