Fabulous building, very well equipped and comfortable room in a great location. Very welcoming, excellent breakfast - couldn’t ask for more - if this was a hotel we would rate as 5 star!

My stay was simply perfect! The host’s care and attention to detail were evident in every aspect. The room was comfortable, spotless, and full of charm. Breakfast was complete, varied, and absolutely delicious, prepared with great care. The warm atmosphere and hospitality made all the difference. Absolutely nothing! A perfect stay - Thank you Maurice. We would return if we ever come back to Chinon and have told all our friends if they visit that they must stay here.

The most amazing breakfast spread we have ever seen! Maurice is amazing and such a great character! He runs the whole place on his own! The rooms are all individually styled and very spacious with everything you need. The bed had beautiful sheets and linen and was so comfortable! You must stay here when visiting Chinon

Wanted to take pictures of the inside but due to past robberies as a result of guest posts on social media, it wasn't allowed. Completely understand, but so wanted to have pics of breakfast & the wonderfully decorated dining room & parlor.

Everything! Fabulous host, super charming period decor, loved the huge Agnes room with Fabulous decor, views above to chateau, quiet streets, modern amenities, near the heart of town & the BEST breakfast extravaganza of our 3-month trip. The host Mairice spent 2 yrs renovating this wonderful BNB. Priceless. And very friendly & happy host. Loves his job & making great memories for his guests. Also was absolutely BESt value of anywhere we stayed on our trip😁😁😁😁😁

This is an exceptional place to stay in Chinon and everything you could possibly want is catered for. The room we stayed in was spectacular in decor, very comfortable and immaculately clean. The breakfast was probably one of the most tasty and memorable we’ve had in our travels and the service at our table made it even more special. I would highly recommend this location and would absolutely love to return another year. Maurice was the perfect host and made us feel so welcome in his delightful home. Thank you Maurice!

Maurice was such a warm and friendly host. The room was perfect with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was really nice. This was the most memorable stop off on our bicycle tour along the Loire. Also important was the secure garage for our bicycles.

Incredibly charming B&B, with everything you could need. Very friendly and welcoming host. Spacious room (chambre d'Agnès), nicely decorated, with aircon and a really comfy bed. The breakfast was extraordinary, with many savoury and sweet options, many homemade. We were on a motorbike and could park in a secure garage for a fee (book ahead, places limited!). We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Honestly, nothing.

Maurice is an incredible host. Upon arrival he organised our parking (with a permit), assisted with luggage, gave us a guided tour of his beautufully renovated home, and, on each of our three mornings, provided the most wonderful breakfast, taken in the beautiful, shaded courtyard. The french toast is delicious, as are all the baked treats Maurice prepares himself. Our room (Agnes), was spacious, extremely comfortable and had excellent aircon, a lovely seating areas, and views of the castle. Do stay here if you get the chance. It's a magical haven in a really beautiful town.

Everything about this stay was perfection. The owner Maurice, his beautiful home and the town of Chinon was the highlight of our return from Provence. The most fabulous french home dating back to 13th Century, and decorated with taste, passion and flair. Maurice has such an eye for detail, including making sure his guests have absolutely everything they need. It left us smiling broadly, only wishing we had been able to stay longer

Beautifully, thoroughly thought out boutique hotel, Full of character, gorgeous. Breakfast was amazing Host was remarkably attentive and welcoming. I can’t praise this gorgeous boutique hotel enough, the bathrooms are modern, beautiful bedrooms, I wish we’d stayed longer, we will be back. We absolutely loved our overnight stay. Location is amazing a short walk to cafes and restaurants, centrally located, an absolute must when visiting the area.

The host was absolutely charming and so kind. He helped us with parking pre-Tour de France and even carried our bike rack to a parking place he helped arrange. Breakfast was incredibly delicious and all freshly baked and local produce.
