The receptionist was absolutely lovely. Really kind and helpful. When we left a day early a positive response was received from the property in terms of partial refund.

Bed: old and uncomfortable unsupportive. Pillows were like loose lumps of foam and a square bag. I used a folded towel in preference. 3 hours of broken sleep. Room was in the attic low ceiling. Rooms off a curved staircase with door opening on to flight of stairs.

It was a bit quirky and a fairly short walk to the old historic part which was nice. I liked having an outdoor spa in the garden.

It was a bit dated and needed some serious redecorating in some places.

The townhouse was in a good location to explore. The family room was big and comfortable. Communication was clear. The lady who checked us in was welcoming and polite. We didn’t use the hot tub but it was available to book out in hour slots with robes available in the room.

It was run down in places, some of this was to be expected as it is an old building. Breakfast was lacking, would have expected more for the price.

Welcomed by Emilie who was very friendly and helped to carry our bags.

Room was very tired, door handle on both entrance to room and bathroom were almost falling off. Toilet roll holder was broken, shower tray was dirty and the towels were quite old and mixed. There was a discarded wooden spoon under the wash basin. For the price did expect a hair dryer. Lack of decent pillows (lumpy and small)

    We did not stay

No Air conditioning!!!!! The website said the room was air-conditioned. After checking in we went to the room and found a portable floor unit that had the the discharge vent laying on the floor and not vented to the outside. The young woman who checked us in said there was no recourse or refund. We left and found a room that suited our needs. W

    The location was OK.

We stayed in the Romantic Chamber. The smell of mould in the room was horrible and a serious health hazard. We couldn’t sleep at all. Breakfast was very poor too with almost no selection. I do not recommend this place at all. The photos and the reviews are highly misleading.

This is a friendly, cozy oasis, with great service, in the middle of town. The location is just a short walk from the centre and there is free parking nearby. We stayed in a very spacious room with a huge bathroom and a wonderful jacuzzi bathtub that our son LOVED. The breakfast is delicious.

The internet had some issues when we stayed, but considering other reviews I think this was just temporary.

Amazing 2 bedroom accomodation, Each bedroom had TV which our children enjoyed. It was wonderful to have jacuzzi bath. Lovely breakfast. Property allowed a late check in. We enjoyed the views from our bedroom.

The shower room walls could have done with a better clean. Moisture residue accumulated and needed some scrubbing. However that is not a reflection on the whole of the property which was very clean and beautifully presented.

The property is in a good location although on a steep road. The room was very spacious, with a separate bedroom off the main room which is great for families. The room was clean and staff friendly.

    Nothing

Omg this is the best places I’ve stayed in and I’ve stayed in a lot of comparable accommodation. The rooms are huge with lovely beds and furniture. The sauna bath was glorious. I’d highly recommend Au coin du spa 100%

Door bell was a bit confusing saying that I’m not the brightest

Friendly welcome. Good location in Boulogne and easy to access the secure parking provided by the hotel.

Room very basic and felt grubby. Shower lukewarm. Breakfast just about ok.

It’s a very cosy hotel, old French style, very charming. Good breakfast. Very close to the center of the old town, which is as interesting and beautiful to visit as the aquarium! Parking very easy to find.

    A little pricey!

The building itself is very attractive and tastefully presented. It almost feels like someone's house. Location is very good being very close to the old town and walking distance to shops. Jacuzzi bath in room was great. Slept really well both nights.

This is the second time I have stayed here. First time was a few years ago and I and my son had an excellent time. This time, not so much. We stayed in the chambre romantique. First thing that I noticed was the bedsheet was incredibly thin and kept falling off the mattress, which did not have any mattress protector. I found this pretty unhygienic. After speaking to staff (twice) they kindly changed the bedding and added the mattress protector. Next, the bed linen is cheap and not good quality, and only one pillow per person. The towels were old and past their prime, as were the dressing gowns. They need to be replaced. The room itself felt like an attic room - i had to bend my neck half the time as the ceiling so low in parts, as a tall person, this got annoying as I kept thinking I was going to bang my head on the ceiling. There was no coffee available although there was a coffee machine. Two or three tea bags and no hot chocolate. They did provide a big bottle of water though which was appreciated. Additionally, I was not very happy that the rubbish was not removed at my second day staying in the room. In the bathroom, the pop up sink plug mechanics was broken so every time I wanted to drain the sink, I had to pull up the plug with my finger! The shower is not great - no real pressure and the shower head appears to be leaking at the top. Also there were some bad smells coming out of the sink when the shower was on. In the bedroom I was rather horrified to see what appeared to be black mould growing on the walls and around the window sill. This needs to be looked at immediately. I am happy to send photos. The breakfast was minimal continental. No eggs. Coffee was basic. No frothy milk, just cold milk in a jug. Fruit in basket was over ripe and some fruit inedible in my opinion.

The B&B is located at a very good location, it's got very lovely staff. The breakfast was genuinely decent as well!! We loved our room, it was super cosy and the spa bath was AMAZING

There was some mold in a lot of different places. Not a whole lot but enough to be noticeable & disturbing. I'm not sure you can call the pillows actually pillows. Definitely could use some new, decent ones
