This place is so cute. I love all the tropical bird finishings that make it feel so homey and give it character! It’s also in the most perfect location right outside of the fortress.

Maybe the missing of air conditioning but in reality not a problem because the ventilators help and during the nights is cool with the windows open.

Evrything was nice: appartment very clean, confortable, everything that you might need is inside. The position of the appartment is just perfect for visiting old town of Carcassone.

Located just below the ramparts, this accomodation offers everything needed for a confortable stay, up to and including the proximity to the monuments, which can easyly be reached by foot from the accomodation. No private parking, but we had no problem finding a spot near the apartment.

We loved the proximity to the old city. The apartment was thoughtfully equipped and we loved the small extras that made us feel welcome. Owners were very welcoming.

I have not a single complaint or thing I would change- PERFECT!

This property is truly outstanding in every way! Everything is beautiful, immaculate, stylish, and well appointed! This apartment has truly all you need to feel at home and enjoy everything wonderful Carcassonne has to offer! Everything is top quality and in working order. The hosts do a BRILLIANT job in making you feel welcome and every little touch of class and hospitality they have arranged it so incredibly nice. Of the hundreds of properties I have stayed- this one truly raises the bar as one of the absolute best!

There was no "top sheet" on the bed; only a duvet with cover. It was WAY too warm for a duvet during our visit. So, we found ourselves struggling a little to stay cool at night without air conditioning. In hindsight we probably should have simply removed the duvet and used the cover by itself. With no air conditioning, we opened the windows in the evening to cool things down. However, there were some teenagers playing in the streets making noise until midnight which made sleep a little bit difficult.

This place is just a few minutes walk to the city walls of the medieval city. So, super convenient to eat at restaurants in the evening, and general site seeing through the day. We were able to find street parking nearby when we did leave the city for the day. The apartment is well appointed with kitchen amenities that make it possible to make simple meals as desired. The hosts left us with muffins, little packaged toast crackers, some package miniature pancaked, and three bottles of preserves. We used all of it for little snacks throughout our stay. It was very thoughtful of the hosts. This definitely a place for two and no more, but it worked out great for my spouse and me as a launching point to discover the area. Communications were proactive and responsive.

Perfect location to see the old city. A 5 minute walk up the hill to reach the entrance. Wear sensible shoes as the cobbles can be tricky. The apartment was one of the best I have stayed in. Very 'bijou', pristine and comfortable. We very much appreciated the welcome treats of fresh muffins, jams, butter, milk and the large choice of teas and coffee. It really set us up for the day. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Highly recommended.

The shower is very small, my elbows kept hitting the walls when I'm trying to wash my hair.

The apartment was a delight, its been beautifully renovated. There is one flight of stairs to our apartment so it wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility difficulties. But everything here was perfect, the food and handmade muffins were delicious. The castle is a short walk away. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay longer. Carcassonne is a charming town.

The location of this apartment is incredible for accessing the citadel. There is a small path at the end of the street that leads directly to the outer wall, and a couple minutes of winding through the old walls and you are into the centre. Marie and Arnaud provided plenty of instructions... And a couple of home made cakes. We found a place to park right in front of the apartment. It was cold on the day we arrived, and the property has under floor heating and was so welcoming to walk into. Carcassonne was quiet when we were there and we had to pop across to the new part of town to find a good lunch. It is very close by. And plenty of options!

Great apartment with everything you need for a nice stay. The welcome gifts were delicious! The apartment was in a fantastic location right beneath the walls of the fortress, making it straightforward to access it when the crowds were gone. There is a fantastic local shop a short walk away to buy necessary provisions.
