How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I loved the location of the apartment - close to the Cathedral and the Market. Well equiped with everything needed for your stay. W/M was very clean and drying rack provided as well as a drier. Fabulous communication from the owner 😊

our host was very encouraging to a non french native speaker. The accommodation was clean, the facilities good and a great location. we really enjoyed our stay in Dijon.

A beautiful place to stay in Dijon, so close to the heart of things with easy access to everything you might need. The apartment is well equipped and so pretty, and the communication with the kind hosts was excellent. Literally steps to the cathedral, great restaurants,bars and a bakery just in front. a supermarket is a few minutes walk away too. Dijon is a beautiful city, we easily walked from the train station. the room was on the ground floor, very quiet at night and dark so easy to sleep. Great to have the washing machine too, highly recommend this for your visit

I have no issues or complaints to report.Everything met our expectations.
The location was perfect in the historical centre of Dijon. The property was an easy walk from the train station and was right next to the markets. Both Viviane and Barbara were attentive and wonderful hosts. We highly recommend this apartment.

Viviane ‘s apartment is lovely w fine furnishings. My husband and I travel light, so the washer/dryer was handy. The location is just perfect for ponders bakeries. Restaurants. and Les Halles market. Barbara met us w the keys and was pleasant and helpful, as we arrived. Don’t hesitate to select this place!

Vivian’s is a wonderful host, communication was excellent, and we ere able to get in early which was so helpful. It is as pictured- simply georgous with everything you need for a great stay. Dijon is a wonderful spot for a few days. Best meal at les Bistrot does Halles. You do hear the upstairs neighbour walking around as well as pedestrians outside the window, but it didn’t bother us, and was really quiet late at night. Perfect location to everything.

This is a wonderful apartment! We (a couple) stayed for three nights and it was perfect. Brilliant location for exploring Dijon in the heart of the old city. Very clean, very comfortable and the owner was so kind and accommodating. Highly recommended!

Spacious appartment on the main floor in the heart of pedestrian down town Dijon. I loved the high ceilings. It's very quiet, close to everything (les Halles - farmer's market, Notre-Dame and its bell ang gargoyles, Arts Museum, main street, etc)

It was noisy if you opened the windows but if they were closed it was fine.
the location was very central with lots of restaurants and shops just outside the door. It had all the facilities if you want to eat in. Comfortable bed. Lots of room

Nothing for us, however the apartment could lack privacy if you weren't staying with an intimate partner.
Location of the apartment is excellent, right in the centre of the old city, but still quiet at night. We walked everywhere although the free electric city bus also stops very close by. Supermarket and Les Halles market in the next street and a wonderful patisserie just across the road. My husband went every morning for croissants! The apartment was lovely, clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed to do a little self-catering. Mattress was comfortable and rain shower good. Washing machine and an airer to dry our clothes was also appreciated. Owners were friendly, responsive and helpful to all our enquiries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

There was nothing to dislike although the sofa bed was rather uncomfortable - the mattress requires updating. Everything else was perfect.
The location was excellent, just perfect for exploring the city. A wonderful welcome from our host and a beautiful apartment which had everything we needed for our stay.

The sofa bed was awful: lumpy and sinking in different parts. Had to hold on the side arm to gain leverage to get out of "bed."
Location in the middle of the old city with major sites, cafes, and shops, yet on a quiet street. The jacuzzi tub.

there was nothing we didn’t like about the property.
the property was in an excellent spot in town. it’s right across the street from the local Notre Dame. the place was spacious, well equipped and had everything we could want in a stay.
