Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only downside was that the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, but overall it was good value for money and worked perfectly as a stopover.
We spent one night at Appart’City Annecy Seynod before heading off to explore the French and Italian sides of the Alps, and it turned out to be just what we needed. Yes, it’s a little outside of the centre, but we knew that going in. It took us around 30 minutes to walk into Annecy, which was absolutely fine on a warm summer evening. The upside is that you’re away from the crowds and have easy access to the main roads if you’re continuing your journey. Honestly, I’m surprised by some of the negative reviews. For the price, it’s excellent value. We got exactly what we expected: a simple, functional room with everything we needed for a short stay. The bed was comfortable and we had all the basics covered. It’s not luxury—but that’s not what we booked. Parking was a huge bonus, and far cheaper than trying to park in central Annecy, which made things much easier. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly base to explore Annecy, this is a solid choice. Don’t expect five-star luxury, but do expect friendly staff, comfortable rooms, convenient parking, and excellent value for money. For us, it worked perfectly as a stopover before heading deeper into the Alps.

The accommodation was clean, the staff was very nice and helpful. Our studio kitchen was small, but well equipped with everything we required.

RomaniaThe handyman walked into our room without even knocking and kept trying to explain what he needed to fix even though we were in our underwear. The front desk was not very attentive and tried to charge us, even though we had already paid for the booking.
Good value for money, very clean and well kept.

United KingdomThe location was a little far out, however, the bus stop was a 5 min walk, where the buses ran regularly and took about 12 mins into the centre of Annecy.
This hotel was very clean and comfortable, the kitchenette was handy. The staff were very helpful and let us check in earlier than stated. Parking on site was ideal.

IndiaIt was already mentioned while booking but they dont have either AC/Fan & it was difficult to keep window open so was bit suffocating. Thankfully weather was merciful. Also location is quite far from main town but there are buses that go from nearby place

United KingdomA bit of a walk into Anncey center 20-25 mins, but no problem. There is a bus, but didn’t bother.
Good Value, room was good after sorting out a twin instead of a double bed room. Plenty of space, cooker and fridge was used on a 2 week cycling holiday. The laundrette was handy and used twice during the stay. Secure car park €3 a day. We was able to keep our bikes in the room which was perfect for us.

ColombiaThe hotel didn’t have any AC or fans (only standing ones that we needed to ask for), and the room was specially hot which was unpleasant. The room would also benefit from having at least one nightstand

South Korea1. I lent you a fan, but it was a little hard because it was too hot. 2. The parking lot is spacious, but you have to pay three euros.
1. It was good that the staff was so kind. 2. It was nice to borrow a fan. 3. There was a water purifier, so I could drink both cool water and sparkling water freely. 4. It was comfortable and nice to have a private kitchen in the room to cook food (everything from fork to plate, etc.)

United StatesThere was a heat wave in France and the temperatures went well above 95 degrees. However, the rooms were not equipped with any air conditioning. I'm sure the place would have been great in the fall or winter time, but for the summer, they should consider installing air conditioning in those rooms or a ceiling fan, at least. I also recommend the staff to greet customers when they pass through the lobby. Even though I look straight into their eyes when I walk by the front desk, nobody even says hi or good morning.
I booked a one bedroom apartment (with separate bedroom and living room) in the hotel for almost a week. It was very spacious and had a small kitchen with everything I needed for my stay. The room was definitely larger than any hotel room I've had in the past. I was also happy they had a gated parking lot for only $3/night. There was always a parking space at any time when I returned to the hotel. That area of the town is well known for not having enough public parking space on the street, so I really appreciated it. Finally, the staff was very nice at check-in.
