How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Stairs are difficult. No view as we had velux windows. Thought we would have a balcony like in the room pictures. A small shower unit.
Spacious room well ventilated and quiet. Location was safe with free parking on the street. Close to center.

Everything was very clean and a good big room. The location was perfect and a small walk to the city centre. It was nice to be able to park our car in their private parking lot, but don't forget to reserve a spot right after booking, because there is not a lot of parking spots.

The exit breakfast were reconstituted eggs.
Clean spacious studio apartment, located 5 to 10 minutes walk from the ancient heart of Colmar. Comfy bed, nice clean large washroom

It was a little far from the train station but only 10-15 mins from the town centre.
Very comfortable room and spacious bathroom. It had all the facilities required.

Odalys City Hotel is in a perfect location closed to the old town (5min walking). The hotel has parking, swimming pool small but perfect to relax and a good breakfast. The room are big with kitchen well equipped. Staff friendly and always available, Super!

Proximity to old town was excellent and only a five minute walk. Car parking (need to reserve at time of booking, just send message) was a bonus for us. We had an apartment which was all we needed for the overnight stay. Made use of the pool on an evening. It’s on the small side but good enough for a cool down. Great AC ! Staff were very friendly.

Lift not working properly when we arrived meaning climbing stairs 3 flights.

The lift was effectively out of order every morning as the cleaning staff dominated the area around it making iT off limits for guests - had to lug my things up and down the stairs

The floors were not very clean and you had the feeling you needed to go over all the furniture with a swiffer duster. Found the odd hair in the shower and pillow! Everything felt old and overused
The apartments are quite close to the old town of Colmar and Colmar Center.

The internet was disconnecting all the time (3 different devices) or connected but no internet. In the room and also in the lobby. It was very annoying, and we had to use the cellular package.
The breakfast was good ( although they can add vegetables). The room was large and had small kitchen and balcony. It was close to city center. Friendly staff.

The rooms were clean but pretty spartan. I do not see it as a 4 star hotel, rather decent 3 star. In a hotel for 180 EUR/ night I am surprised to not find a body lotion or a vanity kit in the room. The furniture looked very plastic. Extreme disappointment was a breakfast. Breakfast room looked like a canteen at the summer camp. The same with the food selection. No vegetables,apart of pickles, no fruits. You even don't get a lemon for your cup of tea. The staff tried to their their best but obviously the hotel is understaffed. Generally, it is not welcoming place where I would return too.
