How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great place. Lovely swimming pool. Very friendly welcoming host. Nice comfortable room with private parking. And the breakfast taken on the terrace facing the pool is absolutely delicious (homemade clafoutis, homemade yogurts, charcuterie, cheese, etc). Merci, Nathalie for this lovely stay.

We would recommend having a TV in the room.

The property was difficult for us to find using the address listed. We should have used the link in the confirmation.
Out host made us feel very welcome and served an outstanding breakfast. We had a good time visiting with the other guests at breakfast also. The location is close to the castle at Carcassone.

A little way out of town, but a bus stop around the corner takes you directly in to town for just 1 euro.
You will not meet a better host, Nathalie was so helpful and a great conversationalist. It's an immaculate home and a really great environment to spend your time in Carcassonne.

There was nothing to dislike about this property
Such a comfortable stay. Facilities were to a high standard. Unfortunately we didn’t use the pool as weather was a little chilly! Beautiful home in beautiful surroundings We took the free bikes up to the nearby lake which is well worth a visit. Nathalie is such a good host. Could not have done more for you. The breakfast is superb. Easy location for transport into the city.

We had a great stay (3 nights). The reception was very friendly by the nice hostes. She gave us a map and tips for good food in Carcasonne. The room was big and comfortable with aircon. Very roomy bathroom with a shower and toilet. The beds where comfortable. We could sit outside on our own little patio. The swimmingpool was nice. I loved swimming after a hot day on the go. And you wil be greated by another host, gerard. Very talkative and likes to strike your legs....uh..he is a lovely red cat😁. The breakfast is great also. We recommend this place!

Everything! Nathalie is a wonderful caring host, who really loves to make her guests feel at home. She and her team, including her cat Gerard, are very friendly, always approachable, helpful and Nathalie gave us great tips for our stay in Carcassonne. The air-conditioned rooms and bathrooms offer plenty of space and are lovingly furnished. We really enjoyed the breakfast on the beautiful terrace - homemade and with everything your heart desires. The well-kept property includes a separate cottage by the lovely pool with a small kitchen, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, sun loungers and towels. Perfect :-) The location is quiet and yet close to the city.

Local produce and home baked food that was provided for breakfast was exceptional the coffee served with a smile was as good as I have had. The location close to the tourist attractions still managed to provide a calm and tranquil setting.
