How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The staff were really friendly, having free access to hot and cold drinks all the time was great. The aircon has different fan settings so it can stay cool but not be too loud. Location was great, close to the train station, the port and the shops/restaurants.

Nothing not to like, possibly tea/coffee facilities in room, how these were available downstairs.
Large, bright and comfortable room, great bed. Bathroom of a high standard. Everything was very clean and well decorated. Excellent location for exploring the town and access to the station. Friendly & welcoming staff. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Our room was a little small but that was acceptable for a one night stay.
Good location and ideal if you are catching a ferry in the morning to Corsica. Also a 5 minute walk from the railway station.

we were very well located, close to the port, the old town, the markets, shopping but not too busy, noisy. we had an excellent room, street view but high enough with big french doors and a balcony, a perfect way to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

The slowest lift in the world😄
Good basic hotel. Very nice staff. Close to walk to town or the waterfront. Supermarket close by if needed. Short distance to walk from train station.

Most rooms, mine including, need new doors. There was a substantial gap between the door and the frame at the bottom of the door, enough to pass two or three credit cards. This means there is no sound insulation, not to mention other things that could pass through that gap. I thought of raising the issue with the front desk, but for a two night stay, and having noticed the issue after I was installed in the room, I chose not to. The room across mine was a service room, and early in the morning I woke up with noises as the staff started their work day. Finally, there was a strong smell of laundry exhaust in my room in the morning, making it quite unpleasant.
Central area, close to the train station, grocery stores, restaurants, opera, and theatre. Coffee and tea available 24/7 for guests. Reasonable price.

Some of the bathroom fitments didn't work very well.
Good clean room with two balconies. We asked for a room with a bath and were given one. The idea of offering free hot drinks throughout the day was excellent. The hotel is very central. There are two big underground carparks within four or five minutes, both alas with very small parking places. Check in from 1400 appreciated. Good that the hotel is completely non-smoking.

The building is very old and the rooms are not comfortable. When I came back for the second night, I felt ripped off because the price was far too high for what was offered. I complained about this, but management never replied, which shows poor customer service.
The location was convenient, close to the center and transport.
