How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

If you’re okay with ‘white noise’ then you’ll be okay staying here. Very noisy with the sound of the river, we did not open the window.

Only complaint is the heating. Quiet cold at night. Heater is not adjustable

The ski room could be bigger.
Excellent location with car park close to the gondola. Very good breakfast, a little expensive, but remains a good value for money given its quality. Comfortable room. Very nice staff. Hotel is right in the centre of the town, everything is close to the hotel.

We had no control over room temperature and it was too warm at night, hence interrupted sleep. Surprised to find no ski locker automatically allocated to the room.
Close to local facilities and ski access. Clean and comfortable with supportive staff.

Bathroom was lovely and clean but decor (unimportant) was hideous!
Location. Comfortable beds/bedding. River outside provided white noise so didn’t hear external noise. So much better value than Meribel/les Allues prices!

I'm not a huge fan of Brides les Bain itself, but this was a third of the price of places in Meribel that weekend and the gondola up to Meribel is super easy (and nice scenery).
A last minute booking but I looked forensically at all the options around in the same price point. When I arrived in the village I saw this had been the best choice hands down. It is one of the closest to the gondola (a couple of minutes uphill but nowhere is closer really). A lovely, smiley receptionist (no attitude here!). A great breakfast room where I enjoyed a hot chocolate pre skiing. And there's a delicious smelling pizzeria next door downstairs. Also opposite is a Spar so you don't have to move more than 50m if you don't want to, it's all in one spot. My room (102) was immaculate, big with it's own entrance area and door to the deck outside.

Breakfast was a little sparse, but then I came down quite late so maybe I missed most of it!
Booked a room very last minute due to a flight diversion. It was great value for money & a very comfortable stay.

Try to book a room overlooking the mountain stream instead of the main road as it gets loud early morning with delivery trucks.
The property is conveniently located at the base of the Olympe gondolas which take you to Méribel Centre in less than 30min. The hotel has complimentary parking for its guests in the back as well as ski lockers. make sure to request one upon arrival.

It is a little bit on the older side, but very quaint. I am 70 years old and felt like I was a younger Guest, which was much to my amusement. The other guest I encountered were very pleasant. My French is limited and I was still able to communicate with the restaurant staff who didn’t speak much English, but the reception staff spoke more English than I speak French, so that was great. As I mentioned previously, all in all, everyone was very accommodating so this is a positive, not a negative even though I am filling out the box that says what I didn’t like. I was truly very happy with this facility.
To begin with, the staff was very responsive through the booking.com app in terms of messaging back-and-forth. I ended up with a flight cancellation and needed to adjust my stay and they were very accommodating. I arrived at 3 AM on my expected arrival day and an envelope was waiting for me with instructions and information that I needed. I would gladly stay at this property again. Also, well, the breakfast offerings were quite limited, they were sufficient. I chose to have dinner in the restaurant and found the service and food to be excellent. I am a retired hotel executive from a five star/5 diamond property in Southern California and understand Service better than most people. It’s nice to be able to go to a modest property in Europe and feel that I was treated exceptionally well. I will return.

There were days that I just wanted coffee and the restaurant caters to those who pay for full breakfast. It would be nice to have either coffee in the room or access to coffee.
