How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great location! 20 min walking to Montmartre, 20 min to Louvre, plenty of restaurants and bars around. Very friendly personel. Nice breakfest with recent choice.

Room size is very small.
Location is good, close to Grand Boulevards Metro line 8 and 9, peaceful and quite street. Curtains are dark so you can sleep well. Comfortable bed and pillows. Free very good coffee available 24 hours in reception

I had requested a room on a low floor, being a little claustrophobic in lifts! This was fine, on the first floor, but very dark, with very little natural light (room 101). I felt I could have had a better room in view of the cost. But all in all, a pleasant stay with very friendly and helpful young staff!
Very good breakfast, plenty of choice, maybe a tray would have been easier, rather than going back and forth...

Very tiny rooms, but there is everything what you need
Location, breakfasts were good, limited choice but everything was fresh and tasty, even machine for squeezing orange juice, every day clean up

Very good location, we walked a lot. The room was small, but comfortable. Since I sleep sensitively, I was glad that I didn't get a window facing the street, but from the bathroom window there was a wonderful view of the neighboring buildings. I also liked the breakfast, there was enough choice and good coffee. The staff is very nice and helpful, we even got an umbrella during the rain.

At the weekend bars and cafes on the street were very noisy until late. There is also building work in progress on the street, which makes access awkward. The hotel did warn us of this in advance, so we did at least expect the mess.
Great location for the opera, cafes and restaurants and short walk from the metro. Room small but clean, and the air con/heating worked well - something which is so often a problem in hotels. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice.

The room was a bit small I could literally touch the ceiling with my hands.
Breakfast was excellent, so much fresh choices. The location was very good. The shower, bathroom and bedroom were immaculately cleaned.

Tiny rooms, even tinier bathrooms and lack of proper ventilation. I'm hearing this is a common theme amongst less expensive Parisian hotels so I'm not faulting the hotel so much on it.
Decent location, lovely breakfast spread, clean rooms.

The rooms was too basic to be be called Styles level. It just a very simple room. The breakfast was also very basic, nothing much to select from. I would not stay in this hotel for the price again.
The hotel has very convenient location - a lots of touristic sights are available with a walking distance. The neighborhood, however, was quiet in the night. The staff was very polite and friendly. The room was clean, with own bathroom.

During breakfast some cutlery and mugs could be missing as the end time was approaching but the staff was doing their best to assist us.
Excellent choice with perfect quality-price ratio! Location is close to most of the sightseeing places, besides the public transport of Paris is convenient enough. The rooms are small, very clean and with clever usage of all the space. Daily cleaning is a routine. Beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. Breakfast is ok with all the basics plus wide choice of cereals, fresh orange juice and even extras such as almond milk. Delicious croissants and pancakes! We liked the refreshment corner where one can get warm beverages and water for free all day long. The possibility to leave your luggage before check-in and after check-out gave us more time to enjoy Paris and we are very grateful for this.
