How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

‘Ongoing works’ were well publicised ahead of booking as was the lift being out of order. Drinks or hot drink facilities in the room would have been a bonus.
Perfectly placed in Sanary, recent renovations were fresh and room felt updated, clean and comfortable room. The sun terrace was fabulous, aircon was really welcome in the heatwave. Setting was smart and parking really useful too, supermarket just along the road and super close to explore all Sanary’s highlights.

No much services even small ones like no newspaper available in the morning, no juices available during breakfast,.. just couple of things missing to make it nicer

No elevator. Shower/bathtub was a bit narrow /small.
Renovations are very good, although not yet complete. Outdoor tables were excellent for breakfast. Very nice staff.

Renovation which weren’t metioned. To enter out room on the first floor there were all kinds of visible works. Also at breakfast when something is finished it isn’t being replenished in the time you’re having breakfast also a small choice of things.

Property is under renovation and one floor inaccessible. Temporary reception area within the restaurant. We would have appreciated knowing about this prior to our visit. We booked 2 rooms and one had been refurbished but the other was old/tired and in need of a makeover.

Decor needs attention in room
Conveniently located, parking on site for a fee. Clean room and bathroom. Pleasant receptionist. Breakfast sufficient for price

The place is being run on a shoestring budget. Breakfast was miserable with very little on offer. The building was also under major renovation. Car park at 15 Euros is rip off and opportunistic.
The bed was comfortable, everything else was very poor.

On booking.com it does not show that the hotel is under construction. So it was a shock for us to arrive and see this. This caused us to wake up in the morning because of noise and the whole hotel had a harsh smell of paint/construction. Would have like to have known this before going, and the staff didn’t tell us once we arrived either. We stayed one night and when we arrived back to go to sleep there was a HORRIBLE smell in the entire hotel, like of sewer/waste. We were scared that there was a gas leak, which would have made sense because of the construction. But there was no one at reception or in the hotel at night, neither was there an emergency phone to call to reassure us. It would feel a lot safer and better for two young girls, if there was someone keeping watch at night. We ended up calling another hotel in the chain, but they were not much help either. Keep in mind that since it is under construction there is limited rooms and only one floor is open at a time. Not sure if it was only our experience but we wouldn’t go back.
