Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomGreat location down a quiet street. Comfortable rooms. We had 2 rooms in separate corridor, which worked brilliantly for our family. Rooms were spotlessly clean, and well appointed. All the staff were polite and helpful.

AustraliaLift wasn’t working, but staff helped with bags to top floors. There was construction on outside street, but it wasn’t overly noisy.
Excellent location and great facilities. The room was a generous size for Paris, very comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet was fabulous and a great and easy way to start the day. Staff were extremely helpful and lovely.

United StatesHotel Adèle & Jules was the perfect home base for our Paris stay. The location is fantastic—easy walking distance to all the spots we wanted to visit. Our 6th-floor room was comfortable, even during the July heat wave thanks to great AC. Breakfast each morning was excellent, and the entire staff was kind, helpful, and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a charming, well-located place to stay in Paris. Bonus: Passione—an incredible chef’s choice tasting menu experience—is just around the corner. Make a reservation!

SwitzerlandThe breakfast area is quite small and although there was a good choice for the price the quality could have been a bit better. Especially the coffee which was from a machine and was horrible. Also some of the surrounding streets are a bit messy.
The staff were friendly and the location was good to walk to Montmatre and the Louvre. The room was a good size and was happy to have a balcony. And the ac was essential and worked well.

United KingdomThere was just one (season specific) shortcoming and that was the lack of cooling in the rooms. Completely understandably, it had been very cold so all the buildings in Paris had heat emanating from them but when the temperature rose, we found it a bit stuffy and difficult to sleep in the room. The system in the hotel was set to winter mode so I appreciate it's not possible to override this but perhaps a few more fans might help the other overheated people like me...although I really appreciated the staff who located a fan for me. Again, the staff were just excellent. If I'm being really picky, I also wished the hotel was just a few minutes closer to the metro especially as we endured quite a lot of rain. However, on the flip side, we had so many restaurants and lovely little galleries close by.
Hotel Adèle et Jules was the perfect base for our stay in Paris. It was in a slightly higher price bracket than our budget but we decided it would be appropriate as we were celebrating a big anniversary. I have to say, it was worth every Euro! From the moment we checked in, the staff were friendly and accommodating and the general ambience was warm and welcoming. The room itself was beautifully clean, sumptuously decorated and surprisingly functional. There was ample room to hang up our clothes and very wet raincoats and we managed to get out onto our balcony for lunch one day. Equally, the bathroom facilities worked perfectly and the shower was huge and very enjoyable. I am incredibly fussy about beds but I had some great sleeps at the hotel and the bedding felt very luxurious. I would not hesitate to return to Hotel Adèle et Jules, and might even consider permanently relocating myself.

We got a connecting room for my boys and me. Very spacious, clean and staff are friendly. Close to the main street without the noise. My sons prefer two single beds and the hotel was able to change the Queen bed into two single beds without us moving to another room - Excellent !!!
