Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalIt is dated and the walls could be cleaner and there is some funky, artificial smell in the corridors - it is a repeated remark in the reviews here - "at this price, it's okay"
The place is simple and dated but it is at a very accessible price point. The rooms come with kitchenettes which are really clean (we stayed in two rooms), the microwaves are new, the fridge is clean, there is a tiny welcome basket with cleaning supplies. Overall very practical and at a great price point. One of our rooms had two windows in two directions, so that was nice . The rooms we booked were quiet and were facing the backyard (the 4 ppl studios face the highway!!!!). The location is great at metro line 8. We kept our car at the parking garage at a 20euro fee. The reception area has been remodeled and the staff is really friendly.

United KingdomPersonnel was sometimes not great. The reception was great but personnel at the breakfast was not super kind with us - they asked us to sit for breakfast and while we were having breakfast insisted that we should have paid. We told them we were going to pay at the check out for the breakfast (quite standard) and they were a bit rude. Everything else was very good
Good location, clean

CanadaThe first room we were assigned was on the noisy side of the building above the main highway. No air conditioning working in the whole building so with windows open it was very loud. We had reserved a room on "quiet street view" side and weren't switched over until the 3rd day of our week long stay.
Breakfast was comprehensive and well serviced. Staff was very responsive and friendly, accommodating all our needs. Room was quiet even though there were many guests.

RomaniaOld linnens with tears and a stupid plastic sheet over the mattress that made loud noise, no tea/coffee/sugar, shower sliding doors didn't close/open (got stuck), water pressure was so high it "jumped" out of the sink wetting me every use.
Affordable price, spacious, nice staff.

UkraineThe beds were on wheels, which may be practical for cleaning purposes but made them somewhat uncomfortable for sitting or sleeping. Additionally, it would have been nice to have a few basic kitchen supplies available in the room — such as salt, sugar, and ideally, some cooking oil.
Although the hotel is not located in the city centre, it’s easily accessible by metro, making it a convenient choice for travellers. The room offered good value for the price, featuring a small kitchen equipped with all the essential utensils, as well as a private bathroom. One of the highlights of my stay was the friendly and helpful staff, who made me feel welcome throughout.

SwitzerlandIt was kind of dirty with a hint of mouldy walls. The beds are ok, but the pillows are very uncomfortable.
It is kind of spacious for the money, considering it is in Paris. Also not so noisy considering its proximity to the highway. I appreciate the wheelchair accessible bathroom.

GermanySome furniture , especially in the bathroom, is made of lower-grade materials like chip-board. it is very "worn" and in need of upgrading.
As on previous visits to this hotel, we found the staff very friendly and efficient. Our room was comfortable and clean, not big but big enough for our purposes. The view was onto the "périphérique" ring road and the Eastern skyline of Paris, but we expected this and were not there for the sake of the view. The triple-glazed windows provide excellent sound insulation. The area is right on the Paris city boundary, with 2 metro stations within 5-10 minutes' walk. Metro line M8 takes you into Central Paris in 20 minutes and runs very frequently from very early to very late. there are also various bus lines. Also within 5 minutes' walk there are entrances to the Bois de Vincennes, a vast wooded parkland, ideal for walking, jogging and cycling, and offering various attractions like its zoo. There are plenty of shops, bars, cafés,a theatre, and a few restaurants all within walking distance. Charenton centre, 10-15 minutes' walk away, has pretty, well-kept streets and a big market.

United KingdomThe room could do with a coat of paint, and overlooking the Boulevard Périphérique wasn't great, but we did have a great view of Paris beyond that.
The location was great, between 2 Metro stops. The bed was very comfortable, nice and firm with extra pillows available. The little kitchenette had everything we needed and bathroom was supplied with essentials. Reception was 24h, helpful and friendly. We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that. Despite overlooking the Boulevard Périphérique, the windows were very effective at blocking the traffic noise so it wasn't a problem.
