Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe were offered breakfast but it was expensive so we declined. Got a breakfast at a nearby supermarket for half the price.
The room was modern, well designed and clean. The location was easy to find and great for a one night stay

RomaniaI would have liked a small fridge. I asked for some information at the reception and was not much help.
Ok for transit, small room for a family with a teenager but comfortable. Parking available was a huge plus.

FranceBig room, very comfortable beds, quiet, perfect for a night driving from west to east of France. Very friendly guy in the 24 hour reception (amazing, compared to many of the other hotels in the area and in the same price range that only has automatic reception in the evening, that don't even work..) Will definitely stay here again.

PortugalMy only comment would be that the bathroom could use with a spruce up, however every thing was extremely clean and even though a bit dated, it was still very good.
Great value for money! The room was very spacious and the beds amazing, super comfortable. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was very good. It will be our go to hotel when travelling for sure! I truly recommend!

LithuaniaThe lady at reception didn’t seem very welcoming, and we felt like unwanted guests. Also, the room had only one set of towels for a family of three.
The room was very clean, and the mattress, pillow, and blanket were extremely comfortable — we had a great night’s sleep!

United KingdomThe chain restaurant next door is closed - probably permanently. So, to get an evening meal means getting back into your car (and, even then, the nearest restaurants are of the worst kind).
This is a typical hotel in the Ace hotel chain - clean, comfortable spacious rooms and large bed. Ace hotels are probably the best budget hotels in France. Good value for money, but no ‘frills ‘. Because the reception desk is available throughout 24 hours, there is no need to worry about a late arrival. Ace hotels are all dog-friendly. The buffet breakfast is basic - but inexpensive.

FranceTheir shower cubicle doors had an issue with the plastic door seals on the bottom falling off by itself. There's some mould around the doors (towards the bottom) which should be cleaned.. otherwise the bathroom seemed clean and the tiles in the shower area were clean.
The hotel is close to the motorway, yet in a quiet area. There are restaurants nearby which is great for those who need rest during a stop over on their journey as you don't waste time looking for a place to eat. They provided extra pillows even though they messaged to say it might not be possible.

United KingdomThe shower spray holder attachment. Being on edge of retail park can mean a build up of traffic but once you discover the alternative ways through to the motorway can usually avoid any delays.
Very good size room, good breakfast choice, good parking area and if have room overlooking the parking quiet location with pleasant outlook. Handy for motorway with a number of different ways to approach the hotel itself. Number of shops and restaurants very close by. Consistent room pricing throughout the year.

United KingdomThe room was good, but some elements were showing their age. The bathroom was in some need of decoration and electrical sockets were in short supply in the room. Breakfast was a slight disappointment after staying at a hotel from a rival chain the previous day. At the Ace, it was noticeable to us that there was no fresh fruit and the choice of cereal was very limited. Most items were plastic-wrapped (even the configured) which was disappointing. The coffee likewise. It was made in a glass jug on a heated plate, rather than a machine, which is more usual these days. I don't really approve of the multi-choice machines, but they produce good coffee. I'm afraid I found the coffee at the Ace almost undrinkable.
The hotel's location was typical of this sort of hotel, i.e. a commercial zone outside the city. We drove about 10 minutes to find food, as it was raining quite hard. There was a Buffalo Restaurant quite close, but we don't eat meat. The hotel was good, the room spacious, the bed comfortable. Most of the staff were very friendly.
