There was nothing not to like. From the start communication with Sadie was easy and a collection from the airport was arranged. Upon arrival we were met by Joachim who took us to the property. From the start everything was easy, very well run and overall a pleasure. As we were at the apartment, we had the choice if we wanted breakfast as you have all the ability to prepare food yourself. 2 out of 3 days we had the 45BB breakfast, prepared by Joachim, which was very good value for money and excellent quality. The apartment was comfortable, well equipped and the location of 45BB for Carcassonne is perfect. A walk across the road and your are in the newer town with plenty of food and drink choices. A walk across the bridge and you are in the old town with even more choice for food. Just a small walk from here and you have the entrance to the City. We spent two days by the pool at 45BB and it felt like you had the whole place to yourself. It's extremely quiet and relaxing, as are the surroundings. This is my first time to Carcassonne and 45BB but it won't be the last. I couldn't recommend both enough. The two together, location and accommodation, made for a wonderful break. Thanks very much to Sadie and Joachim for opening their beautiful property to others to enjoy and for being excellent hosts.

The Gite was all we could have asked for. It was private with the use of a lovely pool, which was a godsend on returning after a day out. Location was perfect for us. A short walk to restaurants and the square. About 15 mins to the Medieval city

Wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Perfect for a relaxing break, but in great location.for sightseeing.

Excellent continental breakfast and very friendly, helpful hosts Joachim and Sadie. The gites at 45BB is clean, modern, quiet and very well equipped. It's location is ideally placed...10 minutes walk to the Place de Carnot and further 10 mins to the Canal du midi and train station. In the other direction it's a 20 mins walk along the beautiful river Aude to the Pont Vieux and La Cité.

Breakfast could have had larger quantities on serving plates especially the ham and the offer of boiled eggs made personally would have been good. The homemade bread would've benefitted from less crust and more interior bread. This may make it slightly more expensive but that would have even OK with us.

Instructions in the apartment for using the oven, it took several steps to get it heating whereas most ovens work on dials which are less complex.

Perfect accommodation at 45bb to discover both the newer lower town (5 mins walk) and the higher medieval cite (about 20 mins walk) Presented by fantastic, personable hosts, Sadie & Joachim (not forgetting Juneau 😁), Apartment 45bb is nestled behind an imposing brown door on Boulevard Barbès. As you as you step through the door, you are transported into an oasis of calm and quality. The pool is perfect for the size and number of guests for hot days and the facilities are fantastic. Pool towels freely available for use. The Gite at the back of the property is huge (67sq m) and is filled with quality items to make the stay very pleasurable. A perfect breakfast is also available to start your day. We would highly recommend, and will be happily doing so amongst our family network, and when the time is right, we'll be back for a return visit.

A stunning and stylish home in the perfect location. Every detail was superb from the super friendly welcome to the glorious facilities. So peaceful and relaxing we couldn’t have asked for more and feel so lucky to have found such a gem.

Lovely apartment in a great location. We were seconds from the new town and easy walking distance to the old Cité. The hosts were so lovely and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was spotless, nicely decorated and had everything we could need and more. Strongly recommend.

Nothing. It was as very hot while we were there but the hosts were well prepared for this with fans and air con so the apartment and house were lovely and cool.

Location was excellent, a quick walk into both the old and new town. The facilities were fantastic and the fixtures and fittings in the gite were of a very high standard. The pool was lovely, as were the owners. It is certainly worth opting for breakfast - lots of choice and again a very high standard. Highly recommended.

It was perfect

The area and location was perfect and so relaxing, the apartment was so clean, spacious, private and the pool area was so nice and clean!! The hosts were super welcoming and friendly, and were so easy to communicate with before and during our stay!! We really enjoyed our visit, the air conditioning was so good, the shower was fabulous and the bed was large and comfortable!! Can’t recommend enough!! :)

Sadie and Joachim are outstanding hosts. They delivered the warmest welcome, helped us to our room (Gite), told us about all the places to go and even picked us up from the airport. We can’t praise them enough for their top class service and support. The room was awesome and very modern with everything a couple could want and more. The room even has a wine chiller. The location is brilliant; just 20 mins walk from the medieval cite. The pool was clean and refreshing and we also rented their well maintained bikes for a ride along the canal. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed 3 nights in Sadie and Joachim's wonderful gite. Everything was spotless. The apartment was modern, very well equipped, and the garden was a pleasure to relax in. The location was super, with all the amenities a short stroll away. I highly recommend a stay at this gem of a place!

Beautiful property with friendly hosts. It is close to the city and medieval city so it works well when visiting Carcassone. There was an option for breakfast and airport lift for a good price.

The room we were staying in is in an old house so the wall isolation is what it is, so it heats up very slowly.
