Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaPositive: great location, beautiful grounds, great infinity pool. Foot at the pool was great Negatives: the concierge was way too concerned with making sure we understood that we would only have free wifi for 4 people and would have to pay additional to have wifi for the other two in our group. We booked a 3 bedroom villa for six people, paid a good price and was offended by the ‘money grab’.

FijiWidespread, the villas were too simple, lacked a touch of warmth and welcome. Staff mediocre as everywhere in Fiji, but this staff especially arrogant. Also security wise, the water villas and other superior villas are on the other side of the Main Street (cross island street)- in the evening it is not illuminated. The tiles on the floor of the villa compound are not anti slippery- they are made for walls but definitely not flooring.
The villas with private pool are really nice, simple but very well structured

BahrainI was sold on the pictures shown of the Mountain Top Villa and the activities to do in this resort. As soon as I have arrived, my villa was full of flying bugs, and the pool had lots of floating dead insects! Half of the activities were what I expected to be to experience from a Fiji paradise and the other half were like a huge disappointment that it shocked me that this is a 4 star resort! Wifi services were terrible and required a daily call for the the IT staff to come to fix the wifi at the villa, and only worked smoothly in the last day of my whole stay in that villa. Calling the reception was even bad as the sound over the phone was so hard to hear and low! No automatic safety lights by the pool at night, so it's easy to fall into the gap by the pool or fall over the low rails next to the small stairs by the pool that could lead to falling to your death or at least severely injured since it's a huge drop from up there. Also there's no privacy in the lower floor bathroom in the other side of the villa and if the cleaning staff were there during that time, they can clearly see me from the window! I'm extremely surprised that is this their best villa from what I was told! It clearly feels not updated to today's standards! The breakfast was OK I guess, but didn't have enough options even with the menu! The trip to the beach was a disaster and didn't look good at all! One last thing, 1 of my friends had to stay 1 extra day because her flight was in the next day, and I did tell them to take care of my friend since she only speaks Romanian. What they did is made her leave early by 2 hours saying they don't have any other transportation available to take her to the airport and when she was there waiting at the airport she saw another of their transports arriving much later and before her flight! She could have stayed more time at the resort if they didn't make her leave early!
Thanks to the genuine best efforts from staff members like Sam, Andrew and Immanuel, they made the stay and activities there a little better than what could have been the worst stay at a 4 stars spot I have ever been to! And thanks for letting my friend stay at the same Marina villa we booked for our last night, instead of moving a 2nd time to a 3rd lesser villa.

United StatesThe buffet lovo dinner was overrated and overly priced. I payed $120 per person and couldn’t have seconds because you ran out of food. I stayed in the Bure. The staff quarters was right behind us and the staff was super noisy in the mornings around 7am. There was a hornet nest on the ceiling of the bure we stayed in which terrorized my children the entire time.
Breakfast was good. Island and location is beautiful. Staff was super friendly and attentive.

AustraliaThe check in experience was great but check out experience needs more attention.
The room and location were lovely. The Forest Spa is in a beautiful location. We were not very impressed with the selection available for continental breakfast. The buffet did not have a great flow - you had to search for items. There was a sense of urgency from staff to pack up, close restaurant and bars.

AustraliaServicing rooms can be better. We didn’t have room amenities replaced and as there are no phones in room, we had to walk all the way back to get room replenished at night. A lot of mosquitoes which made it uncomfortable.

New ZealandFood was a bit hit and miss, having to pre-order each morning for the day was a little odd but ok - but they need a better system as twice the order was either forgotten completely or simply mucked-up. Most meals were good, but two were absolutely awful - dry overcooked whole fish and inedible pasta. A shame really as the other meals were great
Great location, amazing view from our room Nice having three restaurants to choose from, shame the seafood one is not open every night

CanadaI think communication with staff and guests could be a bit better. The resort forgot to arrange a driver to pick us up from the airport the day we arrived in Savusavu, but thankfully we didn't have to wait long for someone to arrive. I booked 2 services with their spa but it was condensed without my knowledge even though I received several phone calls to confirm the timing. But, like I said the staff are amazing and the next day the lady made it up to me and even apologized in person for the miscommunication. My friend and I were extremely upset that we were not notified about the rain forest spa being under renovations until the day we arrived. We should have been notified during our booking. It was another reason for booking this resort.
All of the staff were soo friendly, helpful, accommodating and such a delight to be around. I love how they remembered mine and my friend's name from day 1. The property was beautiful! One of the many reasons for choosing this resort was that it sources it's food from the property and for this reason, guests are asked to choose their meals in advance. Savusavu town was minutes away and it was great to check out the local restaurants and hang out where the locals hang out. I stayed in a floating bure, which was very comfortable. It was a quiet location. I booked a couple services at their spa, it was the best spa experience ever, however, my friend and I were disappointed that the rain forest spa was under renos.

New ZealandFor the amount of money per night I perhaps expected a little more flexibility and kindness. I went diving all day, the same day I was expected to check out at 0700hrs. I returned from diving at 4pm and it would have been appreciated to shower at KSR after diving, and then pay the bill.
The location mostly for diving. Your gardens are beautiful. Your staff are kind and helpful. Thank you KSR and staff.

United StatesRoom not overly clean, narrow windows without curtains let light into bedroom area as soon as sun up, so couldn’t sleep past sunup, wait staff not particularly attentive, most of staff very pleasant
Breakfast nice, but started a bit too late for those with planned excursions of snorkel dives, booked, etc. Most of food very nice, but some items like Mud crab looked spectacular, but impossible to actually eat.

United StatesI think the resort may have been short staffed on chefs, and helpers in kitchen. Food orders always ended up taking hours, which was fun since it was a vacation (more drinks :) but with kids who were perpetually hungry, it made it difficult. The staff was always courteous but would benefit from more help in the kitchen.
Koro sun stay was fantastic! We stayed in a 3 bed villa and also in a 2b 2b. The 3 bed villa was fantastic and clean. The staff was really friendly and it is what makes the place worth it. The service for all the activities on campus from the babysitter services, to the activities desk to the friendly cleaning staff. The property location is also worth it with all the rainforest greenery and it being right off the water.

AustraliaThe Bures away from the beach have zero mobile coverage, and the wifi is almost unusable - it disconnects literally every 1-2 mins even in the reception area. This isn’t because they’re in the middle of nowhere - you get OK 4G at the beach, but because of some problem with the way they’ve configured their network. They will need to hire a professional to fix it.
