How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was clean but felt outdated and not too comfortable — like stepping back into the last century. Breakfast was a bit disappointing: raw food was ok, but everything prepared by the chef tasted bland.
The SPA area was really enjoyable and worth visiting.

Located on a wooded headland south of Kuopio, the hotel has an excellent location with spa, forest walks, lake swimming, and all sorts of activities. We stayed in the hotel proper which is a 1980s spa hotel. There is a modern villa-style addition for families as well. The beds were very good and the food also. Nearby is a traditional Finnish smoke sauna which we recommend heartily! Meet the Finns as they are in the sauna. It is a great experience.

Restaurant (and the hotel) looked a bit dated..
Studio room very nice -fridge and hot drinks facilities. Lovely surroundings/nature. Quiet at the spa -nice.

The interior of the rooms can be improved by refurbishment.
A bit older furnishing. Interesting concept with one bed above the double bed. Quality of the food was good and breakfast quite rich. Bonus of the hotel is available pool. The location is good for more days of vacation.

Orange juice at the breakfast comes from a dispenser (syrup mixed with water most likely) and was pretty bad. If there is one thing that should be fresh at breakfast, it should be orange juice :)
Value for money is very good. Nice swimming pool, especially the outdoor pool!

Quite outdated. Cleaning wasn’t done too properly and there was dust etc found in several spots. Breakfast didn’t serve vegan diet as there was no plant based options.
Excellent customer service.

The only thing that was not to like was the horrible karaoke going on at the bar.
It was nice and comfortable. All the staff was really nice and I must specifically mention the restaurant, the food was amazing and the service excellent!

Overall, the room was clean, but there were details skipped. The toilet would have needed a flush and there were beer cans and a cigarette package left on the balcony. Breakfast needs some work.
Lovely location and very helpful staff. Fun karaoke on the terrace. I liked that our room had a little balcony. I would like to return in order to use the spa and spend more time in the surroundings as our stay this time was quite short.

Hotel has two buildings and I was staying on older side. That doesn't give value for money: No AC in rooms and they were humid and extremely hot so sleeping was next to impossible. Signs of lack of maintenace here and there. In one room, I had to do some repairs to get fridge door opened. In other room, fridge was hardly working so drinks were just a bit cool, not cold.
Hotel environment is excellent

There was no air conditioning in the room at all. Night temperature was +30 so it was quite impossible to sleep. Breakfest selection could have been better.

No air-conditioner which we weren’t told about until leaving. We assumed it wasn’t working as there were “controls” in the room. Apparently there are a couple of rooms on the 4th floor that have aircon though. So we had to sleep with the balcony door open as the room was VERY stuffy! We were right above the outdoor pool, so spent the night listening to the suction of the pool filter... not conducive to a good night sleep. The water was also a bit iffy - one second hot the next freezing. Wi-Fi kept dropping out too. Overall we were quite disappointed - more so for the price we paid for this room - it definitely was not worth it.
Staff were friendly & the dinner was quite tasty, but expensive. Breakfast buffet was ok - no toaster or much cereal variety

Breakfast selection was quite narrow. Facilities are quite darl and look outdated. Inside there is no playroom for kids.
Staff was friendly. Karaokebar was fun to see. Family room was nice.
