I could not rest very well in the bed. The mattress didn't support well my back which caused back pain.

It was an enjoyable experience, starting from the staff friendliness to the clean room and the interior design. The spa is a big bonus, though I didn't have time to use it this time.

this hotel has the most amazing breakfast selection. rooms are clean and quiet. if you travel by train, its just across the street and walking distance to city center.

The shower was a bit awkward, sort of like showering in a phone booth (yes, I am old enough to remember them). Not so bad for me, but my partner is a big, tall guy and it was awkward for him

Love the eco- focused approach to design and operation of the facility. Beautiful design throughout, mostly comfortable with lower environmental impact options than many lodgings. Wonderful staff. The location was a short walk from downtown with many transit options nearby. Nice to have a restaurant on site for the rainy evenings when we did not fancy a walk.

i booked a superior room,but couldnt use the wellness for free. and the price was a big difference from the Standard room.

the hotel ist just a few steps away from the trainstation, which is great if you carry luggage. it's a very spacious hotel with nice interior Design. The breakfastbuffet is amazing and you have a beautiful view to the lake.

The hotel has a small gym room with a Smith press, dumbbells, a pulley rack, a bike and a treadmill, but there is also the nearby bigger EasyFit gym available for 5 euros per visit for the hotel guests. Unfortunately, there is only one key for this and it might not be available when you need it.

Stayed once before and decided to come back as it was good the first time. And the second time did not disappoint. I like the overall ambience and feel of the hotel. The spacious lobby with chill areas and the restaurant next to it provide a working downshifting environment for me. The rooms are quiet and comfy. Breakfast has lots of different options and nice view to the river area. Next to the hotel is a parking building with electric car amenities.

We had an excellent stay here at this hotel. It is across the way from the train station, so it is very convenient. The hotel is large and the rooms are modern and clean. We had great breakfasts and also visited the hotel's sauna for an extra 15 euros. It had two hot tubs, a cold tub, sauna, steam room, and an "experience" shower not to be missed. A great hotel!

There was restaurant room service available but it wasn't clearly told in any of the room pamphlets. Had to go and ask straight from the restaurant. (The delivery was quick and nice, though.)

I liked the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Very cozy yet busy with business travelers. The parking building is just across the street so there's a convenient access to your car. I found the room to be comfortable - pretty much standard quality in Finland. I slept well, so extra plus points for that. Breakfast had a variety on offer.

The Sauna time is separated into women and men. But a man came into the Sauna room with his card key in the women's time! Not feeling good. Should the entry time be audited by the hotel ??

I couldn't use the spa facilities and mainly chose Sokos Kimmel Joensuu because it was going through maintenance, and I wish they had informed me that was unavailable prior to my visit. It was quite disappointing in that regard. I wish they had a couple of things accessible for Muslim visitors.

I recently had the pleasure of trying out their restaurants, and I have to say, it was fantastic! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the service was top-notch. The menu had a great variety of options and everything I ordered was delicious. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that I can't wait to repeat. However, it is quite pricy, to be honest. Additionally, I like the safety of the area, but it is quite the quiet area.

Very nice location next to the city centre and in front of the park of the river. The room was really confortable, so very excellent the breakfast.

Great Hotel in Joensuu, nice made rooms, great breakfast and friendly staff. Everything in walking distance, super close to train and bus.
