Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

TurkeyBecause the room heater wasn't working, they gave me an extra one, but it was still a bit cold. The breakfast varieties were sufficient, but I noticed the lack of any chocolate options. They had a cocoa hazelnut spread, but it wasn't Nutella, which I much prefer.
The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was quite good. I was also very pleased to see they cared about waste separation and recycling in the rooms.

Location is perfect - close to all the important sites and train station. Breakfast options were wide, included even chia pudding and ginger shots. Hotel was very quiet, even though our room was near elevator and facing one of the main streets. Sauna is also great and empty, so we had it for ourselves.

Location is excellent, within walking distance of everything in central Helsinki. 5 mins from the station. The staff were friendly and welcoming. A comfortable hotel in a safe area. Kettle, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and small fridge (mini bar) in room. Fridge was big enough for us to store our own milk, yogurts etc which was useful.

Excellent location, very central within a good location for trams and train station. The hotel is very modern, rooms decent size with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was outstanding!!

SwedenFor breakfast booking, I got wrong paper, had to go to the reception for a right one. Hope they can make better solutions for that. At room, my phone could connect with TV for music but not screen sharing, it is strange, my phone is new model, with other TVs no problem at all.

The staff is extremely kind and polite, available to solve every need of the customer. The breakfast offered is very varied, capable of satisfying everyone's taste. A note of credit is to be given to the attention to food waste that is reported on a blackboard every morning, indicating the amount of food taken and not consumed. Truly an important and respectful message toward waste and environmental well-being. We have stayed at this hotel twice. The second time because of a problem we encountered with another hotel, so we turned to the Scandic staff, who promptly managed to find the right solution for us by providing us with a room at the last minute. Really recommended for a pleasant stay in Helsinki.

CanadaThere was to be a free taxi service from the airport as advertised on the website but there wasn’t. Wish we knew that the railroad station was so close or else we would have taken that instead of an Uber.
We stayed later after a week because of the service, modern, clean rooms and the breakfast was exceptional.
