You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

JapanLaundry was challenging to be honest. There are no washing machine, also around the hotel. If you bring some kit to do by yourself, you'd be able to dry them at the balcony.
The room was very nice, new and clean. The location is really near to the city center and the station. Therefore very convenient to do anything. I'd definitely stay at the same hotel if I visit again.

FinlandThe only negative thing I could find was that the wifi did not work. It was not that big of a deal for us since we had internet on our phones. This probably had to do with the fact that everything was brand new and there was some problem in the internet settings. I am sure the owner will have fixed this thing by now.
We were the first guests at this place and it was a new experience for us as well. To make it clear right away - this is an apartment building, not a hotel. The location is perfect, it is right in the center of Jyväskylä. The train and bus station are just a few minutes walk away. The keys were left for us just outside the building inside a locked box. The owner sent us a code to open the box so it was easy for us to check in by ourselves. The whole building and the apartment itself are brand new and very clean. The place naturally has its own kitchen which is great. We did not cook anything but you can find all the necessary things you need for cooking if you choose to make your own lunch or dinner. Free coffee was available which was great in the morning. The bathroom is spacious and clean as well. What else can I say, I definitely recommend this place and will come back for sure the next time we come to Jyväskylä.

NorwayThe owner/appartment manager sent all info in Finnish (text and pictures with guide where to find the key, park a car, etc ). I have asked to send all in English and received just text. Guidelines how to find the key were bad, it took 40 min for me to find the box with the key (again, it was marked in Finnish, how I suppose to understand it?). I informed that i arrive around 21.00 and when I got problems with finding the key,bI tried to call to a given phone number, but no one picked up the phone. Guidelines Inside the apartment are also in Finnish. Instructions to find the waste point are so bad that I couldn't find it (all the doors in the building are marked in Finnish). Why it is posted in booking.com, if they mostly focus on Finnish customers?
