Kolin Lotus Cottages are located in a very nice place, on the shore of Pielinen lake. Apart of water sports (SUP-s, motor boat, rawing boat) one can rent bikes and also hike in Koli National Park. Cottage was comfortable, with partly view on the lake.A great advantage was that bed linen, towels and final cleaning were included in the price. Actually, it was the best time we spent there during our stay in Finland. It was also due to the attitude of the host and his family, who was very helpful and caring toward the guests, what we personally experienced.

Absolutely stunning place on the shore of Pielinen lake! You can have everything in this place: swimming, taking (motor) boat or SUP, relaxing in hot tub or sauna. Famous hiking trails in Koli national park are just 10 min drive from there. The house had everything you need for the perfect stay. Also, a supermarket is located closeby in 5 min drive in Koli village. We would like also to mention and thank Tino and his wife a lot for the great hospitality and attentiveness to all clients needs! We would like to return to this place again!

This place is absolutely beautiful. The cottage has everything what is needed and is super clean. The owners are very nice people and always reachable if you have a question or need anything. The lake next to the cottage is perfect for swimming, SUP, fishing or simply enjoying the scenery.

Although this appears to be a rather constant feature in Scandinavia we do not get used to it: the beds were too soft and we did not sleep that well. I am sure this will be arranged for the next season.

I am rarely as happy about a place as I was with the Kolin Lotus Cottages. The cottage which was attributed to us is right in front of a lake surrounded by trees. The furnishings were perfectly kept and well chosen. The cottage offers everything you need including a working chimney and a sauna. Everything works and when called about a detail a very kind gentleman came to help literally within seconds. The absolute peace and quiet of the place is astounding.

There was no AC, but that’s not an issue 99% of the time in Finland.

The cottage was clean, fully equiped, located in really nice place with romantic sceneries and in close location to Koli national park, the sauna was a bit small but still very cozy. The staff was really nice

There were some little signs of tear and wear here and there, mostly the mattress and the kitchen area.

The cottage was very cosy and clean and had everything you need, including kitchen ware. The little private sauna was a special bonus. The common area around the cottages was beautiful and there was a tiny beach with an amazing view.

The sofa was uncomfortable to sit - way too soft. Sauna could use a thorough cleaning since e.g. the door handle was a bit slimy.

The location was very good. The cottage was clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. Towels and and bed linens were comfortable too and the drying cabinet was really good to have.

There was no frying pan, oven gloves or kitchen towel. Also would be nice to have couple extra bed sheets and towels if needed. Ofcourse you can just ask them from the host but would be easy to have them handy and close.

Good location for hiking Koli or if you like to go skiing. Cottage was basic cottage with 2 bedrooms and sauna. Everything worked well and we enjoyed.

Everything. The warden is more than helpful. You feel like beeing in a Little paradise. All the amenities you can find. Koli village is not far so you can get there by bike where there is a supermarket and restaurants.Kolin Lotus Cottage is really the best of Finland you can find. The cottages are spatious, pleasant and next to the lake.

Firstly the manager / owner was super friendly and helpful. Such a nice guy - so welcoming. The cottage had everything we needed and was very spacious; al also a lovely quiet location in the forest by the lakeside, but just a few Kms drive from the village of Koli where the supermarket has everything we needed to self cater. Compared to all the other places we have stayed in Finland this was without doubt the best value for money. If we ever come back we will stay here again for sure.
