Sauna and pools were great. Enjoyed water aerobics class. Breakfast was excellent and dining area view was fantastic.

This place perhaps has seen better days, shower doors were very squeaky and in general the place is rather ran down. Pillows are quite flat and not so comfortable, room is equipped with everything you need, yet not so modern. Breakfast quality went down from the first time we were there.

It is our second time visiting this place. We really like the location, fact that you can stay with the dog, opportunity to go to SPA and have a peaceful time in the area. Special thanks for the gift for our paw friend upon arrival! :)

The breakfast is bad. There is a short variety. Karjalanpiirakka (Karelian pasty) was awful. It was hard, dry, and cold.. The butter - egg spread contained more butter. I did not feel the flavour of the egg at all.

Careful if the booking says “Lake view”. My first room was looking at the parking lot. You could see a scrap of the lake from the corner of the balcony. Even with an upgrade to one of their chalets, there weren’t direct lake views. The balconies are enclosed in glass, not open air. I didn’t like that. It was weird that they had basically no lake activities. They don’t rent kayaks or SUPs. There wasn’t even a sauna by the lake, which I thought was very strange. Beware of the fine print with the chalets. You have to clean the apartment yourself or they’ll charge you 100 euros cleaning fee after you leave.

The staff was helpful and upgraded me when the initial room did not have a lake view as advertised.

Hotel is nicely located. Staff is very helpful. The spa area is spacious with variety of attractions and pools. Breakfast buffet is quite good.

The chalets were a bit far away from the spa, restaurants, playground, etc. The options for the breakfast were limited (if not too limited) I was expecting a larger spa with more slides or so. However, the design was very good and relaxing.

- we reserved the largest room and the most expensive one. One would expect better quality for such money. However, our room (1107) located on the first floor was quite noisy because basically it was in the corridor leading to reception, restaurant, and other facilities. Noise from corridor started already at 7.30 in the morning or so. Also, people are constantly walking outside just in front of the room. - even though breakfast offers wide variety of food, most of it is not cooked by a restaurant and just taken from packages (waffles, biscuits, juices). - dinner buffet is overpriced. It was 30e in the Easter time and we would not pay this amount next time. Better go to a cafe (kahvilla). - it was a big surprise that for some reason spa does not allow wearing swimming shorts for men and it is not mentioned anywhere within/after reservation of a room. It is not complicated to include this information to the automatic message after a booking confirmation. It is written that it is possible to rent but even bigger surprise that you realize that nobody controls it. So, basically, some people could pay for the rent and figure out in the spa that they could just go in the swimming shorts. Hotel should really work on it better.

A lot of the facilities weren’t on or closed, a couple of the steam rooms and sauna were closed along with the bowling.

Even though, our stay included SPA access - no bathrobes are available for free. An extra payment is 5 euro. Kid`s bathrobes are missing at all. Breakfast is officially open till 11.00 and we came at 10.20, but a lot of food was missing and was not updated.

No air conditioning in rooms. Spa area was cold, some showers were not working and there were too many people. Got a sheet of paper at reception which stated that final cleaning is included in room price, BUT You have to clean your own room and take out the trash bags or You will be charged additional 100eur so our last morning was all about cleaning our room and leaving it spotless. Play tables near the reception area was faulty - You pay 2 euros for 8min game, but the game ends when You achieve 8goals even if it takes only a minute! Tried multiple tables and all had the same problem, kids were very disappointed about this..

It was clean, comfy, with a nice view. We had a kitchen with everything we could posibly need. Kids enjoyed their own room. Sauna in room was nice and clean. Property is silent and private. There was a washing machine and a dryer, which was very nice and helpful for a 3-day family stay. Breakfast was nice with some vegan options as well (plant milk, joghurt, cheese etc)

The bedroom was large, but ‘internal’ with the window looking onto the central atrium, which also meant others could look in if curtains are not drawn. There are only a handful of rooms like this, the rest looking out onto lake or forest. Next time I will INSIST on a room with an outlook. No alternatives offered on Booking.com (bad mistake)

The spa facilities were superb, catering for all ages. There are also extensive sports and gym areas, and ten pin bowling. As with most other facilities in Finland, cleanliness/ hygiene was really good A lovely location on the shores of Lake Saima
