Very lovely wooden house. In real life it looks bigger than in photos. We loved to stay here. It was very warm, we were also given wood for the fireplace. Nice sauna, very spacious living room and two bedrooms. The host was lovely. Breakfast was amazing, big plate with different kind of options. We would love to stay here again.

On facilities there are small things that would need fixing and regular maintenance. Like damaged cooking pan, not long enough bide shower hose, broken decorative outdoor lights. Minor things, but they prevent true luxury feeling, which the cottage could otherwise give.

Everything exceeded my expectations!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Wanha Pappila Cottage! From the moment we arrived, the host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Ari and Alexsi's warm hospitality truly made our experience unforgettable. The breakfast was simply amazing—delicious, varied, and thoughtfully prepared each morning. It was the perfect start to our days of exploring. The location couldn't have been better. 20 minutes drive to Kemi Railway Station. The peaceful surroundings added to the charm of the place, making it a true haven to return to after a tiring day out. We can’t recommend Hotel Wanha Pappila Cottages enough for anyone looking for a stay that combines excellent service, great breakfast, and a fantastic host. We’ll definitely be back!

Very good housing conditions, houses by the sea, peace and quiet. The owner is wonderful, he brought us breakfast every day, always talked with a smile - it's worth coming back for such people. In addition - we were with children during St. Nicholas Day, the owner came with gifts for our children! Amazing. I definitely recommend this place!

The cottage was perfect. Good location. It is far from the center, shops, as expected. Very peaceful, ideal for getaway, stress-relieving. I was taken by taxi by the host's son, very nice, warm and super-friendly. The sauna was good. Big and traditional breakfast was brought everyday.

A wonderful typical red cottage, made of wood, with private sauna, just in front of a small darsena and a beach. Very characteristics, with the fireplace in the living room, 2 great bedrooms. We loved this place! The host welcomed us warmly, and the breakfast was delicious and abundant. The place around is beautiful and very calm!

Wonderful place. Proper blinds to keep the summer sunshine away during the night was very welcome. Sauna with decent temperature and a dreamy view to the sunset - what more could one wish for. Possibility to go for a swim right after sauna. Some nearby campers were listening quite loud music in the evening and none of it reached indoors. Splendid.

Not much to complain, just don't expect a luxury chalet. Request to agree key pick up by phone is annoying if you don't have a Finnish number, but the owner was very accommodating.

Quiet location by a small fishing harbour. Clean new cottages with traditional Nordic decoration, reminded me of staying at my grandmother's. Kitchen was well-equipped. Staff were helpful and flexible with my request for late check-in and check-out. I wish I had stayed longer than just one night!

Location is a small harbor near to the sea, nice cottage with all needed equipment and sauna, good breakfest. The owner is really nice person willing to help at any quetion.

It would be nice to have a hanger or a clothes rack to leave jackets right at the entrance - during cold winter we were wearing a lot of clothes;) The rest was perfect- we highly recommend Wanha Pappila to stay!

A nice spacious pet-friendly cottage with 2 bedrooms and a sauna, well-equipped kitchen, cosy design, good heating, beautiful view, tasty breakfast and a really hospitable and helpful host Ari- many thanks from our family! The cottage inside looks even better than in the photos;) It has free parking and is not far from the main road.
