Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

It would have been nice to have a key to access the garage from the inside and not just from the street, carrying a lot of things that way was a bit inconvenient. The "balcony" is really tiny, I wouldn’t really call it a balcony. The bathroom cupboard only had those small, almost empty hotel style shampoo and soap bottles, and the dishwasher was unloaded when we arrived, probably from previous guests.
Nice, clean studio, great location, walkable everywhere we wanted to go, comfy bed, and parking was easy to book and pay for.

5pm check in is ridiculous with a 12pm checkout. Would think most people are out by 10am? A bar outside was open into the early hours which was unfortunate. Wish there was blockout blinds.

The apartment has a huge closet that you can't use. There's nowhere to put your clothes and your suitcases will end up in the middle of the apartment. Everything is perfect, but there's no vacuum cleaner. Maybe it wouldn't be very viable for a long stay. I think the administrator should think about this because it's very necessary. I sent a message via booking asking where the trash cans were because I thought they were in the building, but I didn't get any response.
The apartment is perfect, the location is perfect, everything is new and of good quality, the kitchen is the most complete I've seen on my travels, it has everything! Very good bathroom and excellent value for money. Naturally, when I return to the city, I will stay in this apartment if available.

Location is best you can wish in the center of Oulu. Host was really helpful and solved our problem just in seconds.

We would like to have an extra set of clean set of towels in between the 5 days. We definitely needed a hair and body shower gel put in the ready-made bottle in the shower. That was empty. Plus the pillows were a bit high for us so maybe you could have a choice of pillows, as pillow is a very private thing. There are three cupboards in the apartment and we were not be able to use either one of them, as the one was locked and the other two were filled with cleaning equipment and ironing gear. We had to hung our clothes in the entrance rail. Finally check in at 5 is too late. I never had to check in at that time or even be asked for a €25 extra fee for chain game at 3 pm. These are some suggestions for you to think about.
We enjoyed our stay. The apartment is well equipped, clean, nicely decorated and at a very convenient location to visit Oulu. You could wash your clothes, as there is washing machine and a dish washer as well. The apartment was warm at all times and directions were clear. They helped us settle in the first day of arrival. Thank you for a nice stay in Oulu

I chose this apartment because of air-conditioning listed, which appeared to be a lie. Nothing close to air conditioning, just a loud but useless ventilation. I had to open a balcony door to get some fresh air at night, however a noisy bar downstairs added challenges to a proper sleeping. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty.
Very clean. Relatively comfortable bed (for rental apartment scale), bearable pillows (rare for rentals). Curtains thick enough for nordic summer nights. Well equipped.

Maybe the bed was a little too soft for our liking. But it was quite comfortable, nevertheless.
Great great location. Close to the station, walking distance to city center. Very clean and comfortable. Wifi was great. All the household items were in perfect condition. Clear communication from the hosts on all aspects. Absolutely loved the place.

We were two couples and the sofas was not nice to sleep in for two adults, maybe for smaller kids.
It was quiet and fresch and everything you need is in the apartment. Allso walkingdistance to lots in the city.
