How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The people next to us were very loud, waited until past 1:00am and went downstairs, talked to the staff and he immediately called the reported room number while I was in front of him. I appreciate this.
Staff members were great. The breakfast was amazing.

Time for breakfast should be extended by 30 minutes. Clearing the area whilst guest are still eating is not good practice

Shower. It was a small cubicle, something we don't like, and it was a spa shower, but only the main shower head was working.
Very centrally located in town. Staff very polite on reception, speaking many languages. Room was clean and very comfortable. We booked a double room, but 2 single beds was pushed together. Our room was across from a bar that stayed open til the late hours but with the windows closed, couldn't hear a thing. Didnt have the breakfast so can't comment.

Everything was very good.
Excellent location near the historic centre and easy to access from the motorway. . The rooms were comfortable and clean. Good breakfast and convenient parking under the hotel. Staff were helpful and gave a good recommendation for supper.

Liked everything!!!
Everything!! It is a beautiful, comfortable and well located hotel. The room was very clean! The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast… was the best!!! Variety of fruits, juices, breads… the yogurt was delicious. There was something for every taste. If I am around the area again. I am definitely staying in there.

This was amazing value for money. We had a large room with a balcony over looking the river. Although there is parking at the hotel you can find space easily for free close by.

We didn't realise that it was the Feria de San Juan during our stay, which meant that nothing was open. Even the majority of bars were closed during the day although more opened in the evening. There were also a number of beggars hanging around the hotel, which I assume was what a couple of previous reviews were alluding to when they mentioned it being in a down-market area. I can't say we were particularly enthralled with Badajoz as a whole but that might be because we didn't see it at its best. It's not somewhere we would return to in a hurry.
The hotel took a bit of finding but that could be because our satnav is about 4 years out of date! There is, however, plenty of free parking all around the hotel and there's a lift from the pavement to reception for taking luggage in as there are steps to the front door. The reception staff were reasonably friendly and the room was a decent size with a balcony and a view of the river. The room was typically Sercotel (a bit like a higher standard Premier Inn) with standard lay-outs and furnishings. The bed and pillows were good and the aircon was also good, which was definitely a bonus during the heatwave.

The eating area was not very inspiring being really part of a reception area. The dining room was closed off.
We stayed only for one night on a Sunday when most places were closed as part of a longer road trip. The rooms were comfortable and water hot. Food very good. Can't comment on location as we arrived lateish and left very early before breakfast

I noticed two great points during my stay: 1. The floor of the room was extremely clean. I stayed with my baby, so I wiped the floor just to be sure, but there was no dust at all. I was very satisfied. 2. The hotel has a private parking space that costs €15 per night, which is quite affordable. Plus, there’s free parking available in front of the hotel. This hotel is very car-friendly.
