How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The property was spotless, comfortable, and in a quiet location. The gentleman who checked me in was exceptionally nice. Somehow, I inadvertently made my reservation for myself and a child when there was no child involved. When they gentlemen realize that he graciously offered me a discount since they would only be one person in the room. It was nothing I ever would’ve asked for and was greatly appreciated. Also, in the breakfast room, they had an excellent selection of fresh fruit as well as toast, croissants, muffins, etc. Highly recommend this hotel if you are walking the Camino Norte.

Modern facilities in a renovated old building. Kitchen was great to have, first home-cooked meal in weeks! Comfy beds, patio for sitting out or just drying laundry. Quiet, clean and inexpensive. Host Daniel was very accommodating and friendly.

Everything was perfect.

Superb, perfect stay. Host Daniel was amazing very welcoming. Beautiful kitchen area with freshly ground coffee, breakfast was provided. Our private room was large, clean, fresh, comfortable and quiet. Perfect in every way!

Difficult to impossible to eat as most place were closed or “bars.” Not the fault of the property of course.
Location and availability of laundry service. Very friendly staff.

The beds were a little hard, but that is nit-picking. This place is amazing.
We had a private room and it was awesome! Spacious, great bathroom, clean. That staff was amazing - welcoming and kind. Great location on the Camino close to stores and restaurants.

The space feels brand new and the host Daniel and his wife were both amazing. I injured my knee during the Camino and they were so gracious and accommodating. I wish I could rate them even higher.

Received an email asking to confirm my reservation and even if I confirmed, they could cancel. This was for a CONFIRMED RESERVATION on Booking — confirmed with a credit card. The hotel said they would call before cancellation, but I don’t travel with my cell phone on. I had made a reservation to make sure I had a place to sleep. What good is a confirmed reservation if the hotel can cancel it and leave you on the trail without a place to sleep?
Very clean and spacious. The kitchen facilities were very modern.

I liked everything.
Such great value! Quiet and comfortable. Clean new and fresh. Wonderful shower. Kitchen area is beautiful. Breakfast was provided and very nice. Host is very nice. Loved it.

Everything. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable. Kitchen was amazing. Had a ground beans coffee machine. What a treat! The staff member who greeted us was very friendly. We ate a communal pilgrim meal in the downstairs communal kitchen. Had seating areas in communal space. Highly recommend. We were walking Camino Norte and it is right on the Way.

It was all so perfect!
I can't say enough good about this place! It's by far the nicest Albergue on the Camino Norte. our private room was clean, large and well appointed. We loved that they had laundry service and a beautiful kitchen. There was fresh coffee at our disposal. Loved this place.

Had a fully functional kitchen so you could cook anything plus a bean grinding coffee machine which made delicious coffees A refreshing change to have such a nice kitchen to use
