Sometimes it was difficult to make the keys work. The smell of the "volcano" building (pool chlorine) is quite strong (poor staff!)

Breakfast is excellent! In general the facilities are great, as well as the room amenities.

They went that extre mile by surprising my wife with a bottle of champagne and sweet in the room on the night of her birthday . It was waiting upon our return . Fantastic touch

Just in time of our days spended here their biggest pool (yes the main cool one) was not working, they were making some technical changes unfortunatelly, I was so sad cause I was looking forward to this the most. Besides that everything was perfect but still what a bad luck for us...

Unforgetable place, the main hall is magical and every part of this hotel feels like a modern museum, visualy 10/10. We had breakfast included with probably the biggest selection of possibilities to eat I ever saw so those are 10/10 as well. We had also a stunning view from our room, personal was helpful and daily program of activities was amazing as well.

Clean and all staff approachable. I Only had breakfast , it was very good fantastic choice and staff very friendly. Heated outside pool and plenty of sun loungers. Entertainment was very good too , on the Wednesday it took place in the church . Absolutely amazing the voices of the 2 mean and 1 lady were stunning a very memorable evening.

The staff that works in the bars don’t have a big knowledge of cocktails and in general in bartending.

Huge property, even though half of it was under construction . Great design , big rooms with great view. The staff is extremely friendly and ready to help .

We probably didn't visit the the height of the season but we didn't see a snack bar, if you wanted something small during the day. We did go to the poolside restaurant which was great but more a formal lunch I felt.

Hotel staff were so friendly and obliging. The hotel has a lovely ambience and vibe. Room was fabulous and comfortable. (Love that they have mugs instead of small cups if you wanted a cup of tea yourself in the room). Rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily. The main pool was undergoing construction so this was not open. Fortunately we were upgraded to Club Volcan which was a lovely treat. Hotel was spotless - Breakfast had a good choice so something for everyone.The hotel is on the marina which is fabulous and has many lovely restaurants. There is a lovely promenade from the hotel to the rest of Playa Blanca . The nearest beach is 10-15 min walk which is a bit of a bummer if you like the beach.

Thanks to the wonderful staff! A fantastic experience. I was recovering from a fall ( broken arm) and I felt so looked after by the hotel staff. The room was a very high standard, fluffy bath robes for that luxurious feel.. breakfast had enormous choice of fresh food… I will certainly return and recommend to my friends.. and the cliff walk outside our window is a piece of heaven… and the hotel has superb character… old world moorish feel with lots of nooks and crannies to read or have an aperitif

As usual all the staff welcoming and friendly. Actual room was good with welcoming gifts and note. The location of it not good. Room 586 on the outskirts of hotel. No sun on terrace all day. Poor views of some bushes directly outside. Public walking past on coastal path 30 yards away with 2 small barriers between path and my room . Potential security issue? I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Volcan as I have done in the past. This just turned a 100% rating into an 80% one. Will obviously be booking again in the future

Main pool is very cold. All pools need maintenance, but that is due to be done imminently. It would be nice if bar staff, especially at the pool bar, would come round and take drinks orders.

This was my 15th stay! I came with my mum- this hotel is fabulous, the staff are kind and helpful and they were lovely with my mum. Location is spot on- market on Wed and Saturday just through the gates of the hotel in the marina- hired a disabled buggy from Island Hire, dropped and picked up from hotel/ back November!

We were very disappointed with booking.com as we booked a junior suite which showed pictures of a lovely sea view, balcony, loungers and an outside eating area, none of which was available In room 454. It was a cold room with no outside seating and a just a pool view. I would not use booking.com to book this hotel if you want a good room.

We love this hotel and it was our second visit within 6 months. We love the location and the ambiance, from the entrance via the church to the lovely pools and restaurant.
