Needed some basic provisions for cooking eg oil, salt, pepper. The double bed was a bit creaky and the pillows quite hard but they found me a softer one. The pool didn't open until 10 am. The chair on the balcony was broken. No hot tub

I really wish we stayed longer! The Viviendas El Covaju are such charming houses, beautifully nestled in the mountain, with amazing views. The perfect getaway to rest involved in nature.

Few things needing updating. Washing machine was very old. No kettle , no oven. Missing a few essential cooking items . Bathroom very dated.Staff didn't speak much English which for a place taking English bookings is a bit of a nuisance. Single beds in bedroom had headboards which were not attached to the bed . Staircase was spiral and wobbled, not really ideal for us with a toddler , especially as bathroom is downstairs.

There was no oil, salt, pepper in the kitchen. The pans were also well used and some of the non-stick pans were scratched, which I would never normally use but we didn't have any other choice. The English guides to the area were badly translated and there were instructions that were impossible to follow if you didn't understand the original Spanish. People could get lost following some of the walking route instructions.

The view from the apartment was wonderful. The location is great - only ten minutes to Potes by car. There was a small pool with sun loungers, barbeque area, and washing facilities. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The staff were very friendly. Good value for money in high season in mid August.

A bit dated, beds were not as comfortable as you’d hope. Decor what you’d expect from this type of property.

Incredible surrounds, absolutely peace and tranquility. Great communal facilities- pool/seating/bbq. washing facilities available if needed. Need a car.

We seemed to have one of smaller apartments in the older building and table outside rather small to eat at. Apartments with terraces near pool looked more roomy. But useful having a washing machine!

Lovely relaxing and peaceful location in the hills outside Potes. Easy to reach nearly walks and towns. Beautiful area - lovely walks with super views. Took the Fuente de cable car and great hike down - not overly busy even though August and lovely weather. Potes a very pretty town. Great to come back to peaceful location and cool off on the pool.

The beds were not comfortable and the shower curtain in the bathroom (in the large apartment in the old building) - but they were better in the newer buildings/ apartments based on what our friends who stayed their said.

The spiral staircase leading up to our room. Lack of lighting in entrance ways.

The location was stunning. The rooms were perfectly adequate for our needs. Great base for touring the Picos de Europa.

As other have said walls a little thin, if your neighbour is noisy you no about it Finding everything took me a day or two, I could only get WiFi one night, the hot water was no more than tepid, but it was a smashing place I would go again if possible.

It was a lovely place, Owls every night, Cow bells in the field below. Nothing to fault really.

Everything is very old, the floor sinks downstairs when you walk on it. There was an infestation of flying ants and mice. The employees try very hard to help but it is clear the owners do not intend to spend a penny on the property or to offer refunds or discounts for poor experiences. We moved rooms one night whilst they put some special gel to try and kill the flying ants of which there were hundreds in the main bedroom and bathrooms and kitchen sink. We had to move back to our room by 10am the next day, there were hundreds dead which we had to clear up, but still at bedtime there were many more live ones. There were still live ones in the kitchen and bathroom. Do not leave clothes out to dry on the patio, our patio, the tables and chairs were covered in mouse droppings and it/they chewed our clothes. Never expected anything like that! The shower in the bathroom doesn't stay in place when it's turned on so expect water shooting up to the ceiling. We called booking.com for help and they sent an email to the hotel. We paid £125 per night and feel ripped off. Beautiful location my advice is visit another property there!

The area is absolutely beautiful and so is the pool. But the actual houses are horrific.
