Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainNothing. We had some rain, so we couldn't enjoy the rooftop patio... If the owner wants to add anything in the future, a little roof on the rooftop patio would be great.
The hosts were very friendly, accommodating and even met us late, as our plane arrived at night. The house has a wonderful charm and is very comfortable for two families with kids. We loved the sea views and the proximity (walkable) to Icod the Vinos town. The dishwasher in the kitchen was super handy.

IrelandThe house was wonderful and the large roof terrace was perfect, given the good weather. The house is a short walk away from bars and restaurants in Icod de los vinos. The apartment also had parking outside on the hill, which was handy as we had a mini-van.

Czech RepublicFor a group of 9 people (2 cars) it was a little problematic having just one set of keys. It happened multiple times that we had the keys in one car but the other car got home earlier. Maybe a simple keybox would solve the issue because you could store the keys there and whoever gets home first will retrieve them. One of the rooms didn't have the door handle so but we didn't mind that much.
This accommodation was just perfect for us. We were a group of 9 people and wanted to spend a lot of time in the nature around Chinyero and Arenas negras region. The location was great, because it only took us 20 minutes to get there but at the same time, it was just 5 minutes to the city centre, shops etc. View from the roof was worth it in any weather but especially when there were no clouds in the sky. The accommodation was very spacious so we didn't have any problems with storing bikes and drying clothes and other stuff in the main hall. Having 3 bathrooms was also very good because we didn't have to wait too much when we all got back from our sports or hikes. And the hot water never ran out. We also appreciated the washing machine and dishwasher. Last but not least, the house had very good wifi coverage through multiple routers and there was not a single problem with internet connection in any part of the house - even on the roof. The hosts were very nice and when there was a problem, we just texted them and got it fixed almost right away. Kudos for the building groundplan, that was also something that made us pick this accommodation.

Czech RepublicWe had an amazing stay at this beautiful villa! The place was incredibly spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. The beds were very comfortable, with warm and cozy blankets that made our stay even more enjoyable. The kitchen was large and fully equipped, perfect for preparing meals. One of the highlights was the beautiful view and the magical rooftop – ideal spot to relax and take in the surroundings. The communication with the owner was excellent; he was very helpful, friendly, and even provided us with great tips for local trips. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back!

Czech RepublicOur too short stay:-)
Simply amazing. Old stylish house with genius loci and direct view on magical dragon tree. Very close to Garachico - romantic city with little shops and restaurants and good point to start trip to Masca or Teide. House has all you need during the holiday, beautiful terase, fully equipped kitchen and lots of luxurious details. Family and kids friendly. Owner did all to make our stay perfect. Parking is on the hill but it’s everywhere in Tenerife, so you need to be bit careful. From the house you can see sea and east cost and sunrise when good weather. We will be definitely back again.

Great views from the villa of the town and the sea. Relaxed 10 min stroll to a superb plaza with restaurants, bars and supermarkets beyond that. The town is busy during the day but very quiet during the night hours.

PolandI totally recommend staying at Vista Del Drago especially if you would like to rest and feel the spirit of a true Spain village without the bustle of tourists. Cottage style house is very well equipped with a beautiful view of the ocean and also of the very famous, oldest tree on the island of El Drago. A cozy village near to is accessible by a walk, but having a car is very helpful. We parked two cars without any problems right next to the house. Vista Del Drago is a perfect place to stay with a group of friends and has a starting point to visit the whole island.

PolandMartin’s place is an absolute gem, and I couldn’t be more happy that I managed to find, and book it for a month-long stay in Icod. The house is almost perfectly located on the upper hills of Icod, which makes it extremely quiet, yet super close to the town - just a short stroll to get the groceries. The house itself is fully equipped, and I don’t say this lightly, it’s equipped beyond what anyone from my group imagined. When Martin (the host) asked if there’s anything missing, I couldn’t think of anything. Everything was extremely clean, tidy and in perfect working condition. The view from the house and the terrace/roof is just breathtaking, for one you can see the very popular El Drago tree right from the house, second the ocean view on one side and Teide on the other, there’s no beating the ability to sip wine on the roof and watch the weather conditions change around the Teide volcano. Martin himself is an incredible host, he always responded to any questions, and helped with the few things we asked him of. One time we used all the kitchen gas, it was Sunday, we were super tired after a hike, and instead of just telling us where we can get a replacement bottle, he brought one to us within an hour. Not many hosts would go the extra steps Martin took. Suffice to say, if I end up staying at Icod, it’ll be in this house.

United KingdomA room have no windows, a tiny flaw because it compensate by having 2 big doors facing the most lighted part of the house
What we liked more was the location, 5 mins walk to the citycentre and 40 mins walk to the beach, and the house itself: big lighted rooms and a huge terrace on the roof! A mention for all the utilities to make our stay more comfortable
