How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Parking is for anyone it doesn’t seem to be for hotel guests only
Pool amazing, bar, parking is a bit hit & miss as it seems anyone can park there even if you are not staying in the hotel. So a bit annoying if you have a hotel booking but you cannot park there.

They should tell clients that the pool bar is open in the evenings. It’s not obvious.

A little old fashioned and almost seems like it has survived since the 1970s in decor and furniture.
Great stop off for us between Alicante and Barcelona. Off season so hotel and area very quiet. Staff were excellent vert warm and welcoming.very functional room. Nice balcony. Clean fresh bedding and linen .Great value for money.

It would’ve been nice to have a kettle in the room.
The stuff is friendly and helpful. Good location, 10-15 min walking to the beach, 15 min walking from the city center. 2 bigs supermarkets are nearby. Hotel parking is available. It's my second visit to Benicasim and both times staying at Vista Alegre. Happy with the choice.

Older style hotel that is immaculate, and a credit to staff and management for keeping it that way. Good sized room, again immaculately clean, great simple breakfast. Good location, lovely grounds, and safe parking.

Everything looks old and rusty, but it's alright for the price, nothing too serious. The rooms need better sound proofing and the pillows are paper thin. Also the breakfast bread which is served in the buffet is already toasted, so you get it hard and dry.
You get what you pay for, don't expect great luxury. Helping and nice staff in reception.

Some people might say the hotel was dated but it reminded me of visiting a favourite aunt with older furniture. We found the staff very nice and pleasant in all departments. It was nice to see that the outdoor swimming pool had disabled access

A table on the balcony, more comfy chairs, a hairdryer . Maybe a chair in the room. Small wish list that is all.
It was a lovely stay. We know the hotel. Family run, very nice people. Good value breakfast. Staff very friendly. Great location close to restaurants, town and beach. Good value. Everything worked in the room and bathroom. Well maintained hotel.

Tiny Tv. Old fashioned furniture and hotel. Hard bed like sleeping on a rock. Car parking was a nightmare. The car park is used by the public so hotel guests have to park miles away because the spaces are being used by locals for access to the beach. We had to walk for 15 minutes in 90 degree heat parking elsewhere because all the parking spaces were used by the public. Breakfast was not included when the hotel confirming it was included. No hot breakfast. Such a shame as we loved the pool and the bar.
Good location, good size room, air con good. Wifi good. Very clean, a big bonus a clean room and clean bedding.
