Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOnly thing missing that for practicality was a Folding Rotary Clothes Line to place outside rather than in the Airing Cupboard and Oven Gloves would have been great as we had to double up the tea towels. Other than that cant fault the place.
We absolutely loved the Pool Area and the Beautiful View of the Hacha Grande Mountains. The Villa was spotless and very comfortable felt like home from home. The location was great right next to a Shopping Centre that had housed Shops/Restaurants and Bars as well as a little Park for children and an Express Supermarket which was very handy. A lovely coastal walk to Rubicon Marina was 20 Mins - The Marina was just great. Alex & Eli - Were very helpful as we had a fault with one of the Fans in the bedroom and they came to replace immediately. They also let us stay passed checkout until we had to go to the Airport as they didn't have anyone coming in that day. Which was very helpful and we were able to enjoy the pool a final time and not have to worry about carting our luggage around.

IrelandWasn’t really anything to dislike. It’s about 20-25 minute walk to the Marina and further again to the main town, we had a car and don’t mind being a little further away.
Loved the views of mountains, gorgeous pool area, so much outdoor space. Really appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, it has dishwasher, hob, cooker, coffee maker, utility room with Washing machine, much better facilities here than many other resorts we have stayed in. Quiet location but plenty on doorstep. Supermarket right across the road as well as a few other little shops, a few cafes and restaurants.

United KingdomSome minor niggles but for the price, cannot fault it! Niggles are a dodgy toaster and no chopping board! Fridge shelves were problematic, but this is also petty!
Felt like home from home. Super cooking facilities. Close to supermarket. Close to taxi rank. Easy access to civilisation and nature. Safe large enough for laptop. If you enjoy walking, this is excellent. Loved our stay and would come again.

United KingdomThings that would improve this place we felt were - outside lighting near the pool, finishing touches in the kitchen - kicker boards finishing etc., new sunbeds - they are quite worn and look a bit dirty now.
I liked the location and the security of the property. It was quite spacious and near a nice centre with bars and shops. The information provided was good, and when we needed help, the people in the office were responsive and really nice.

United KingdomThe beds were not comfortable, not enough pillows, need at least 2 to each bed, no oven gloves were provided. no scissors in cutlery draw, 1 of the outside chairs is broken on the seat, this could have been dangerous for someone to sit on it.
It was quiet, location of a shop was excellent and not to far to walk to a beach. Parking was great and check in was good. The villa was clean, the pool was good, the lay out was good.

United KingdomMuch of the accommodation felt like stepping into a timewarp—dated furnishings, uncomfortable bedding, and outdated technology gave the impression it hadn’t seen a meaningful update in years...reminded me of an old timeshare The double bed was particularly unpleasant: hard, with lumpy pillows that made for restless nights. A dumb idea of putting light switches in the middle of the headboard ,wasn't the 1st time lights came in on in the room in the middle of the night whilst turning. The lack of air conditioning in a hot climate was another major letdown. A single floor fan provided little relief, and the absence of a ceiling fan in the bedroom made things worse. Even a basic A/C system—chargeable or not—would have made a huge difference to comfort. The outdoor area, which should have been a highlight, also fell short. The private pool was freezing—not due to a fault in heating as it wasn't heated but because of relentless NNE winds that hit us daily for all 11 days I GUESS NOT FAULT OF OWNERS .. BUT no windbreak or protective measures were in place, making the pool area unpleasant for relaxation. The surrounding terrace was basic, with immovable parasols locked into massive concrete blocks, uncomfortable sunbeds, and lightweight furniture that frequently blew into the pool due to the wind. The lounge area was somewhat comfortable, though the entertainment setup was far from modern. The TV was old, not a smart model, and all satellite channels appeared to be in German i gave up looking in the end as no channel guide was available. A smart TV would have allowed us to log into Netflix etc or cast content from our devices—basic expectations in 2025. And the inclusion of a retro 1980s-style CD player felt more like a quirky joke than a feature...I don't know anyone who uses CDs these days Sadly, this stay has put me off visiting Lanzarote again.
The Villa was clean upon arrival. The kitchen was functional and reasonably equipped, which was a small saving grace. The lounge area was somewhat comfortable,

IrelandOur stay was in Villa #36. On our 2nd day there was a group of 15+ teens in the villa next door (#37) shouting and making lots of noise, jumping into pool from the villa wall, playing music really loud and being quite disruptive and this continued into the early evening leading us to communicate with the property about the problem and having no correspondence from staff from the villa regarding this situation. Also, The doors on the villa were not secure. The lock on the sliding door was not working appropriately and shutters on outside were quite flimsy. Our villa was broken into on our 2nd night whilst we were asleep and the intruders came into the bedroom whilst we were asleep leading to a number of personal and valuable items being stolen from the villa. This was a complete violation to us and left us feeling very unsafe to continue our stay in Villa las marinas leading to us deciding to go home 6 days early. Since leaving the property the communication from the staff has been quite poor in relation to any update from the police/ any update following the intrusion and our items being stolen.
