Waiting to be shown our table at dinner took ages. The member of staff showing people to their table was rather brusque. We’ve never experienced such a long wait before and the restaurant was not that busy. Breakfast was very different with less staff yet it was much busier than dinner! The one member of staff was almost running and was really polite. She deserves a medal for the way she dealt with everyone and everything!

We have visited this hotel a few times and find it a good stop over with our small dog.

Basically nothing

We have stayed here before. It makes a great stop over on your way home to the Uk or driving down to Spain. It’s close to the motorways, but on the downside, there is nothing around it. The staff are friendly and the buffet is good. The only downside on this stay was the shower was very poor. I didn’t report it as it’s unlikely they could have done anything about it in the timescale of a 1 night stay. I will stay there again, no problem

The room TV didn’t match the rest of the hotel. Old and basic with no facility for streaming services. Only one English Channel. I’d expect a smart tv with the option of Netflix and the facility to accept external devices. The hotel grounds for pet facilities was poor. Vast area of concrete but busy with cars and trucks. The hotel has beautiful gardens but dogs aren’t allowed. In the heat of the sun, there is no where to walk the dog without potentially burning its paws. So very early and after sundown we’re the only choice for dog walks. Also extremely noisy and busy as along the motorway. A shame they won’t allow dog walking in the gardens. The garden had shade and lots of grass

Good location to the motorway and good choice of food at the buffet and breakfast. Room was spacious and the dog bed and bowl a nice touch. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

We had had a long bad journey during thunderstorms on the Pyrenees and wanted to rest before dinner. We travelled with a small dog who is a little nervous but extremely good. There were two dogs next door to us who barked and howled for three hours between 5 and 8pm making it difficult for us to rest. We decided we would have to complain if this situation continued after dinner. Fortunately, all was quiet thereafter. It is in no way a reflection on the hotel, but is down to the owner of the dogs.

We have stayed here before. The food was excellent with a fantastic choice to suit all palates. The staff were exceptional, really friendly and very hardworking and professional. Nothing was too much trouble.

Hotel looking a bit tired.

Fine for one night stay driving to Calais. Room was nice and clean. Pleased there was an onsite restaurant as hotel is in the middle of nowhere! Staff very helpful and tried hard to help with gluten free options.
