The location was excellent: you could drive about 20 min. up (on a narrow mountain road) and get to a small parking spot, from which you could hike about 30 min to Refuge Malniu. Fantastic landscapes with snowy peaks and at the same time a friendly Meranges village with Bar Social. Vilamaroto is a newly renovated, architecturally skillfull and beautifully executed little mountain lodge. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Eduard, the host, is very knowledgeable and welcoming. There is nothing not to like!

Everything! it has been years since we were so surprised by how much a hotel exceeded our expectations. The host and his son were very welcoming and warm people, who made sure everything is perfect for us. the place itself and the town it's located felt like from a fairy tale. was even wondering if I should recommend it to people as I want to keep this place a secret haha.

Everything was fantastic, stunning location, lovely little village, beautiful walks. Tastefully decorated rooms,good shower, comfortable bed, peace and quiet. The owner is very friendly and the breakfast delicious.

Everything was great.

The hosts were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely breakfast both mornings of our stay which were very good value. The room was warm and cosy and the facilities were great. We had a lovely time and would like to return.

The bed was very comfortable indeed - a nice mattress, but a wider bed would always be nice for the 'bigger' couples!!

The host was very friendly and helpful. The accomodation is very very clean, quite new, and well arranged. Our room was completely quiet, and with a fantastic view of the mountain - looked at the sunrise as the first rays hit the tops of the mountain across the valley. Great for walking and wandering - they also allow dogs. Although breakfast was very good, I had a 'need' for poached eggs and the host was delighted to let me prepare them!! I lay in bed and took the attached photo of the sunrise.

It's a pearl : The place - the beautiful house - the calm villiage far away in the mountains - the great views - the sweet, kind hosts - the super breakfast - the nice atmosphere. We loved it all - Far away from us, but we need to come back.

I prefer a softer pillow but that is me! Everything was perfect. Note that there is parking as you enter the village. It is a small village with narrow streets. Just park as you come into town and walk to house - much easier than turning around after you get there - it is a very short walk.

Tucked high in the mountains this large house was very well maintained. Our room was very large, comfortable and clean. Since many local restaurants were not open in the evening they had food available for purchase and a kitchen everyone could use. There was both indoor and outdoor seating. The breakfast in the morning was local meats, cheese, breads and fruits and the coffee was delicious. The family that runs/owns the house is very nice (I got to practice my Spanish with the parents).

In fact, it's not about the property. You should buy some food and other products in other nearby towns. Anyway, Meranges is so beautiful and calm.
