How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Internet WiFi is totally unreliable, slow and crashes frequently. Not an option for anyone who needs reliable access to the internet (forget fast) - Worn down hotel, the gym is in the basement and smells very mouldy. Improvements and renovations are evident but it's all a bit patchy, not consistent or thorough. -Mattress was too uncomfortable for more than 2 nights -The location is extremely busy and loud between train station and main road. - Overpriced for what it really is, but considering the season it is what you get. - Reception staff sometimes not forthcoming enough to reply to emails sent before arrival or to solve issues (WiFi); they are overfamiliar as if you're not a paying guest. The younger guys were absolutely great. -Cleanliness could be improved, especially if you do pay extra to have a dog. The sink was clogged and the towel holders are not cleaned.
In theory this hotel has it all: Gym, big pool, spa facilities, central location, air-conditioning, buffet breakfast. The owners and staff are welcoming and evidently take customer feedback seriously and improve their service and facilities. The younger staff are super nice, professional and helpful. Dog friendly, which is a big plus, but they do ask for 25,- per night per dog, which should be published upfront in their profile.

Room was a bit dark - could use more lights. Plus we would have preferred having a fridge in the room.
The breakfast exceeded expectations. They had the widest range of breakfast drinks of any hotel we stayed at. The cook made bacon and eggs for each guest, rather than have it pre-made. Lots of choices. The location was very easy to find. In travelling for over a month in France and Spain, one of the hardest things was finding food in the afternoon. It was very easy around this hotel to find cheap restaurants any time we wanted to eat.

There was only a single chair in the room, but two (and a table) on the balcony. Luckily it was warm enough to be outside - but our room overlooked the reasonably busy road which the hotel sits on, so it was a little noisy.
The room was a good size, with a nice balcony and good size bathroom. Staff were friendly, spoke English. The breakfast was limited but sufficient.

Dated, could be cleaner, location means you’re overlooking the train tracks and quite far from the sea.
Decent hotel. Air con in the room worked very well. Nice balcony.

It is near to the street and it is very noisy! You can’t sleep at night ! When we entry in the room the floor was very dirty ! The conditioning air is very close the bed and it hits you right in your head! The bed is quite old I think because you can feel the springs and it very uncomfortable!
It has very large balcony and it is near the sea, like 10 minutes walking

NOISY! In the night I was woken up by passing trains, motorcycle racing in the streets, and the worst was hotel guests talking loudly in the (tile floor) hallway at midnight, 1:00am, etc. I slept very little and would not recommend it if you want to sleep well
Really clean, good pool, VERY friendly staff, easy street parking.

Plumbing in hotel wasn't good. Toilet didn't flush properly Water didn't drain well Breakfast was basic and same every day
