Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomTabaiba guesthouse was fantastic. Karin and Sergio are really welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. They have taken a lot of care to provide useful info for guests to plan their visit. The room was spacious and bed was really comfy! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and breakfast was nice. I would recommend booking a guided hike with Sergio, h takes great care to share his knowledge of the wildlife and plants, and information about the area, and showed us beautiful views in the mountains.

Lovely place in a lovely village. Beds were comfy, hosts really nice and friendly, and the kitchen and bathrooms were extremely clean! Breakfast was also OK. Great for hikers or solo travellers. Rooftop is exceptional!

United Kingdomnothing to complain about. I'm a light sleeper so took me a day to get use to a different bed.
First time solo hiking so this was perfect 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very clean, no noise after 11 so everyone could get a good night sleep. Breakfast (8-9.30) was included so you got to know a few people when you went for breakfast. Lovely, warm-up welcoming hosts! Great book with all great recommendations of hikes, food things to do. 1 shower/toilet for 3 rooms which was never a problem. Lovely balcony up stairs, yoga mats and sitting area. Gym, pool and sauna 8 minutes away walking along the seaside.

GermanyI didn't like that my partner and I had to have bunk beds- but a bigger bed didn't fit in the room. I also wasn't a fan that the window didn't have a screen on it, so when it was open at night (because it got warm) the misquitoes came in. Also it did get pretty warm sometimes and a fan would have been nice. Lastly, another bathroom would be amazing.
Everything was imaculately clean. This was so wonderful and comforting. It was also a wonderful first time hostel experience in that we had our own room. There was even a balacony on top of the building that was for community usage and it was such a beautiful view. The bus stop to get around was not far at all. They had books in the hostel that they made giving tipps for good places to eat, travel, things to do etc.. that was really thoughtful.

SpainAll was great!
A really nice, super clean place with everything you need to spend a great time. Apart from what is written in other reviews, I especially loved and appreciated the amount of information the owners put together to give you tips and advise on what to visit, where to eat, hot to get where, the detailed information on hiking trails, the maps and books about tenerife, etc. I have not seen this anywhere else sand I found it absolutely awesome! Also, the location is great as Buenavista del Norte has great bud connections to Teno, Punta de Teno, El Palmar, etc. it is very easy to start hikes or trips from here and the town itself is very cute! plus the coastal walk is stunning! Last but not least, the owners are exceptionally welcoming and will make it difficult to leave;) I highly recommend!

ItalyTabaiba Guesthouse is the perfect location if you want to visit the beautiful Parque Rural de Teno and a strategic start point to visit Parque Nacional del Teide if you want to avoid the crowd and the tourist mess of Tenerife South. Buenavista del Norte is a small village but offers all you need: groceries, shops, restaurants and bars. The house is an ancient and typical canary building, renovated with care and love by the owners. The view from the rooftop is simply amazing and offers a gorgeous set when you want to chill out after a hike! Karin and Sergio are truly lovely guests: they warmly welcome their hosts and take care of them during the stay. I would definitely recommend Tabaiba if you're planning to visit Tenerife North and if you like outdoor activities.

SpainBreakfast was basic, just some cereal, ham, cheese and fruit. The staff knocked on our door on 2 occassions during the checkout day to remind us of the checkout time and to start taking out the trash. During checkin they forgot to send us the code to get the keys, but thankfully they were inside the property to help us out.
Clean and comfortable rooms. Coffee and tea whenever you want. Freshly baked bread available every morning. Helpful staff, which is clearly passionate about hosting. The owner also offers great hiking tours around the area. Lots of good recommendations and information about the town and parks. Easy to access from the bus station.
